Breast implant revision: How much does breast implant revision cost?

The middle half of 29 practices’ own posted breast implant revision prices for implant exchange fall from $7,000 to $10,800, using one lowest own-fee figure per practice and nearest-rank quartiles, checked October 13, 2026. The full posted spread across 34 retained exchange rows runs from Brad Gandolfi’s starting-at $4,000 surgeon fee without devices, facility or anesthesia to Tracy Pfeifer’s $26,150 closed-range upper total with replacement implants. These posted prices aren’t a typical price. Implant exchange, also called revision breast augmentation, can involve very different work. CareCredit publishes “The national average cost of breast implant revision surgery is $7,986, but it can range from $5,397 to $13,533.” That lender-commissioned 2026 study gives no sample size or complete fee/device inclusions in the reviewed article; ASPS publishes no numerical revision average on its cost page.

How much does breast implant revision cost in 2026?

CareCredit publishes a $7,986 national average for breast implant revision in its lender-commissioned 2026 study, while ASPS publishes no numerical revision average on its cost page, checked October 13, 2026. The opening’s middle-half figures describe 29 practices’ own exchange starting points. Different scopes and fee inclusions prevent those observations from establishing your bill.

Read the benchmarks in their own scope

CareCredit · 2026 national study

This lender-commissioned benchmark reports $7,986 and $5,397 to $13,533, with sample size and complete fee/device inclusions unspecified.

ASPS · no revision average

ASPS’s separate removal page says “average cost of breast implant removal surgery is $3,979”, excluding anesthesia, operating room and related expenses. Checked October 13, 2026, with data year unstated; this cannot price replacement.

The exchange category does not establish an unchanged pocket in every case. It excludes separately priced capsulectomy, malposition repair, lift and support. A surgeon-only floor and a device-inclusive total describe different budgets; neither predicts your quote.

Ask your surgeon

“Does my breast implant revision plan match an exchange-only price, or does it include separately priced repair work?”

Start with the operation

What does a breast implant revision quote include?

ASPS lists surgeon, facility, implant and anesthesia costs plus medicines, garments, tests and x-rays as possible breast implant revision charges, on its cost page checked October 13, 2026. Its single component list does not say every quote includes them. JL Plastic Surgery’s exchange-only range is $9,000 to $12,200 with major surgical fees, implants and a garment listed; Gandolfi’s starting-at $4,000 surgeon fee explicitly excludes the other major charges.

Different problems can require different revision work

Soft capsule

A capsule normally forms around an implant. The review distinguishes this soft, thin layer from excessive contraction.

Capsular contracture

Excessive capsule contraction can cause symptoms or distort the breast. The firmer boundary here is schematic.

Bottoming out

Loss of lower-pole support lets the implant descend below the original fold. The dashed line marks that original fold.

Rippling

FDA describes implant wrinkles that can be seen or felt through the skin. The drawn folds are not a severity scale.

  • Skin
  • Breast tissue
  • Implant
  • Capsule
  • Pectoral muscle
  • Ribs
Schematics show tissue relationships, repair targets and discussion areas, not measurements, a surgical plan or predicted results.

The same cross-section distinguishes a soft capsule, contracture, bottoming out and rippling. These schematic states explain why an exchange fee cannot price every repair. They are not diagnoses, severity grades or results.

A quote needs the procedure and the billers

Surgery itself

Name each biller and allowed operating time. Major-fee totals do not establish outside testing, pathology, medicines, travel or additional surgery.

New devices

Record maker, model, fill, each/pair pricing and warranty supply. “Exchange” alone does not establish device inclusion.

The repairs

Separately list capsule work, pocket repair/change, ADM/mesh material and placement, lift and grafting.

Separate size/fill change from capsule, pocket or shape repair. Washington Plastic Surgery names saline and silicone replacement without explicit new-device inclusion. Jacobsen’s exchange schedule already includes device allowances; do not add them twice.

Ask your surgeon

“Can you mark surgeon, facility, anesthesia, devices, capsule work, support and aftercare as included, extra or not listed?”

Price each repair

How much is breast implant revision for capsular contracture?

JEV posts $8,900 to $10,500 for breast implant removal and replacement with capsulectomy, while JL Plastic Surgery posts $14,800 to $19,000 for exchange with capsulectomy, on 2 practice schedules checked October 13, 2026. Both list major surgical fees and implants. These are procedure prices, not a universal contracture surcharge or your risk of needing treatment.

Opening, removing and tightening capsule tissue are different work

Capsulectomy

Removes capsule tissue. The dotted boundary marks tissue targeted for removal; partial and total removal differ. Release alone is a capsulotomy.

Capsulorrhaphy

Sutures reduce or reconstruct the pocket. The implant and the pocket are separate parts of the plan.

Internal support

Selected repairs reinforce the pocket with tissue or ADM. This drawing does not represent a particular product or promise prevention of recurrence.

  • Skin
  • Breast tissue
  • Implant
  • Capsule
  • Pectoral muscle
  • Ribs
Schematics show tissue relationships, repair targets and discussion areas, not measurements, a surgical plan or predicted results.

The review distinguishes release from partial/total removal. Suture pocket repair and internal reinforcement target different problems. These repair drawings do not prescribe which operation belongs in your quote.

Name the operation before comparing its fee

Release vs removal

The review weighs capsulectomy benefit against added tissue trauma. A higher fee or en bloc label does not establish a routine-exchange requirement.

Repair and recurrence terms

Ask about recurrent-contracture charges and maker exclusions. Surgeon waivers, replacement devices and facility/anesthesia payments are separate benefits.

The revision review distinguishes capsulotomy, releasing capsule tissue, from partial or total capsulectomy, removing it. Gandolfi does not explicitly promise exchange in its capsule-revision lines. FDA says severe contracture may need reoperation and can recur; no price establishes freedom from another repair.

Ask your surgeon

“Are you quoting release, partial removal or total capsule removal, on which side, and are replacement devices included?”

Price each repair

What does breast implant revision for malposition or mesh cost?

Christopher Patronella’s breast implant revision schedule for malposition posts $8,800 to $10,800 for 1 breast and $12,800 to $14,800 for 2 breasts without GalaFLEX or Strattice, excluding replacement devices, checked October 13, 2026. Its internal-support lines and combined replacement examples price different work. These ACPS SurgiCentre major-fee totals do not establish the charges at another facility.

A pocket change and added support are separate parts of a plan

Subglandular

The implant sits behind breast tissue and in front of the pectoral muscle. Adequate soft-tissue coverage matters when changing to this pocket.

Submuscular

The muscle covers the upper implant in this simplified view. Muscle flexion can move an implant beneath it; coverage varies with the operation.

  • Skin
  • Breast tissue
  • Implant
  • Capsule
  • Pectoral muscle
  • Ribs
Schematics show tissue relationships, repair targets and discussion areas, not measurements, a surgical plan or predicted results.

Subglandular and submuscular positions change tissue coverage. A named pocket, suture repair and reinforcement material need their own operative explanation and fee. The drawings do not show a preferred pocket or prevention of recurrence.

Material, placement and complete surgery are different prices

Patronella’s material figures

The separate component table lists GalaFLEX/TIGR at $1,200 to $4,200 by size and Strattice at $2,800 to $4,800 each. Replacement-pair add-ons are $1,000 to $2,000 saline or $2,000 to $4,000 silicone. These are not complete revision prices and are not added again to an already totaled package.

Sarah Mess’s additional budget

Mess lists about $2,000 extra for GalaFLEX beside an exchange range. That is an additional-budget statement, not a new combined price calculated by Afters. The review lists cost, infection, inflammation, seroma and malposition among ADM disadvantages; support is not a promise against recurrence.

Bottoming out, lateral displacement, symmastia, double bubble and animation deformity need separate diagnoses and repair plans. “Internal bra” can mean different materials or tissue work. Patronella’s reduced combination components never set a standalone spread. The package examples already include replacement devices.

Ask your surgeon

“Which pocket repair and support material are proposed for each breast, and does that price include replacement devices?”

Do not create a missing revision price

Heavenly’s limited-time floor

Heavenly’s $10,750 promotional floor has no printed expiration or established major-fee/device inclusions. Request a dated complete quote.

Fat grafting remains an addition to define

Gandolfi’s breast fat-transfer floor is $3,000 surgeon-only, not a revision total. The research has no isolated complete own-fee operation specifically priced as revision fat grafting; ask about harvesting, facility time and staging.

ASPS says revision may include a lift. When downsizing, ask what skin work, scars or staging the plan requires. Subtracting unmatched advertisements cannot establish the additional lift charge.

Ask your surgeon

“Why does my breast implant revision need a lift or fat grafting, and can you price each addition without changing the rest of the plan?”

Travel has costs the price page does not settle

Ask about follow-up and problems after traveling home. These records give no standard airfare, hotel, child-care or lost-wage allowance; budget your own costs.

Littleton and Newton are the printed practice cities. A multi-office page does not establish your operating location. Elsewhere, Gandolfi’s surgeon-only floor and Pfeifer’s device-inclusive total illustrate why city labels alone cannot explain price differences.

Check the original device warranty

Does Allergan’s warranty pay for breast implant revision?

Natrelle ConfidencePlus lists up to $3,500 out-of-pocket assistance for qualifying gel-rupture breast implant revision within 10 years, separate from lifetime qualifying-rupture device replacement, in its brochure and summary checked October 13, 2026. Those are maximum assistance and device benefits, not a complete paid revision. The benefit depends on the original implant, event and applicable terms.

Natrelle’s device and expense benefits

ConfidencePlus gel · free automatic enrollment

Natrelle’s 04/24 brochure and live summary, checked October 13, 2026, distinguish lifetime qualifying-rupture replacement for affected and contralateral implants from up to $3,500 out-of-pocket assistance for 10 years. Device replacement does not pay the whole operation. Applicable original terms still matter.

Gel contracture and textured late seroma

For Baker III/IV contracture, replacement is listed for 10 years. Augmentation cash assistance is up to $2,000 for 2 years, one incident per patient; the recurring-contracture footnote limits that benefit. Qualifying textured late-seroma replacement is 20 years, with up to $1,000 diagnostic testing to rule out BIA-ALCL. The source excludes prior textured implants exchanged to smooth from this late-seroma provision.

Saline and Premier

Standard saline coverage gives qualifying lifetime device replacement. Premier costs $200 within 45 days and lists up to $2,400 out-of-pocket deflation assistance for 10 years. Late enrollment is reviewed case by case. Saline contracture is not covered. Qualifying saline-to-gel replacement offers Responsive gel without a product upgrade charge; SoftTouch or Cohesive costs $100 per implant, separate from surgery.

Claims and the narrower BIA-ALCL benefit

The surgeon contacts Product Surveillance before surgery and returns disinfected explants within 3 months with required records and authorizations. The summary says lifetime BIA-ALCL replacement and up to $7,500 treatment assistance; the brochure limits expenses to implant removal and associated scar-tissue removal, complete capsulectomy, and does not separately print a lifetime BIA-ALCL duration. It does not fund all oncology care. Intact aesthetic changes and procedure-related damage are excluded.

Ask the surgeon to identify maker-supplied devices separately. Do not subtract a cash ceiling before approval. The program needs eligible unreimbursed expenses and documentation; the research has no complete US claim file establishing your payment or timing.

Ask your surgeon

“Will you confirm my applicable ConfidencePlus event, device benefit and approved surgical assistance before I pay for breast implant revision?”

Check the original device warranty

What does MENTOR’s warranty cover for breast implant revision?

MENTOR Promise lists up to $3,500 in qualifying gel-rupture breast implant revision assistance for 10 years, with separate lifetime qualifying-rupture device replacement, under US terms for implantation on or after January 1, 2021, checked October 13, 2026. Basic, Enhanced and saline benefits differ. The original surgery date and prior-contracture history can change eligibility.

MENTOR’s plan, event and date distinctions

MENTOR Promise gel · original surgery date matters

For implantation on or after January 1, 2021, qualifying rupture gets lifetime replacement, at most 2 implants with a MENTOR contralateral device, and up to $3,500 aggregate unreimbursed replacement-surgery assistance for 10 years. Operating room and anesthesia take payment priority. Earlier implantation periods retain their original warranty. The free Basic plan is automatic.

Basic contracture vs Enhanced

Basic gel assistance for Baker III/IV contracture is up to $2,000 for 2 years without prior contracture. Device replacement for qualifying contracture, double capsule and late seroma is listed for 10 years. Enhanced costs $300 within 45 days and lists up to $3,500 for qualifying nonrupture events for 10 years. Prior Baker I–IV contracture excludes Enhanced eligibility; it does not exclude every Basic rupture payment. Basic and Enhanced cash are not stacked for simultaneous events.

Saline has a different paid upgrade

Free saline coverage provides lifetime qualifying-deflation replacement, without a listed included surgical cash benefit. Saline Enhanced costs $200 within 45 days and lists up to $2,400 uncovered replacement-surgery assistance for 10 years. The full contract’s saline-to-MemoryGel upgrade is $250 per requested product; this is a device upgrade charge, not a revision fee.

Full terms add conditions

The maker-linked US gel and saline contracts, checked October 13, 2026, require eligible procurement, physicians, event evidence, bills, insurance forms and product-release authorization. Ruptured/deflated products must be returned within 60 days. Ineligible Enhanced enrollment has a refund clause denying listed nonrupture benefits, so do not assume device eligibility despite that clause. Intact size changes, rippling and specified procedure damage are excluded. MemoryGel Enhance used for augmentation is outside this Promise plan.

The full gel contract distinguishes Basic contracture-payment restrictions from Enhanced ineligibility after prior Baker I–IV contracture. The summary footnote cannot exclude every Basic rupture payment. Paying for Enhanced does not erase its conditions.

Ask your surgeon

“Which original MENTOR contract applies, and does my prior contracture affect this specific device or surgical-expense claim?”

Sientra Platinum20 offers one-time assistance up to $5,000 for qualifying rupture-related breast implant revision costs within 20 years for eligible implants placed on or after May 1, 2018, under terms checked October 13, 2026. Lifetime rupture-device replacement is separate. Assistance pays documented eligible actual uncovered costs rather than an automatic check for the maximum.

Sientra’s limits and claim conditions

Platinum20 · rupture

Sientra’s LGL-0006-R7 applies to eligible US/Puerto Rico implants placed on or after May 1, 2018. Qualifying rupture has lifetime device replacement and one-time assistance up to $5,000 for actual eligible uncovered costs within 20 years. Earlier surgeries have separate documents. The upload path does not establish an effective date; the R7 issue date is not printed.

Contracture, double capsule, late seroma and BIA-ALCL

Qualifying Baker III/IV contracture, double capsule, late seroma and BIA-ALCL have 20-year device replacement. Contracture/double capsule/late-seroma cash is one-time up to $2,000 within 2 years. Contracture must form at least 3 months after surgery; qualifying late seroma is at least 12 months. BIA-ALCL assistance is up to $7,500 within 20 years, inclusive of eligible testing. Only the highest applicable benefit is paid for one surgery; the amounts are not additive.

Automatic patient coverage still requires paperwork

The surgeon completes tracking/enrollment within 60 days, initiates preauthorization before revision/explant, and returns products and documentation within 30 days after explant. The contract requires a licensed plastic surgeon who is board-certified or board-admissible, documentation of actual uncovered expenses and a liability release. It excludes size/style changes, rippling, specified procedure damage, lost wages and pain/suffering.

Clarify insurance and waived-fee ambiguity

The contract broadly excludes events or injury reimbursed by insurance or with any provider fees waived, while its financial section describes remaining unpaid/nonpayable costs. The brochure simplifies this to uncovered fees. Ask the program to determine eligibility in an insured or partly waived case; neither the headline cap nor enrollment settles your payment.

The 20-year device benefit does not extend every cash window to 20 years. Obtain preauthorization and clarify who submits records. If insurance pays or a practice waives fees, ask how the contract’s eligibility wording applies.

Ask your surgeon

“Has Platinum20 preauthorized my event and confirmed which actual costs remain eligible after insurance or any practice fee waiver?”

What do Motiva and Serene warranties pay for breast implant revision?

Motiva’s July 2025 US contract lists Plus contracture assistance up to $2,500 within 2 years for revision augmentation, while its 5-year branch applies to primary augmentation, in documents checked October 13, 2026. That distinction changes potential breast implant revision assistance. Serene’s retrieved card gives no surgical-assistance dollar amount; an old IDEAL benefit cannot fill that gap.

Current contract, summary and historical program boundaries

Motiva complimentary plan

The currently linked July 2025 US contract applies to implantation on or after September 26, 2024. Included enrollment is automatic; confirm surgeon-uploaded implant details and registration email. Qualifying rupture/BIA-ALCL device replacement is lifetime; qualifying contracture/double capsule/late-seroma device replacement is 10 years. Rupture assistance is up to $3,500 once within 10 years; Baker III/IV assistance is up to $2,000 once within 2 years. The base BIA-ALCL benefit is lifetime, up to $7,500, with a $7,500 per-surgery maximum.

Motiva Plus · revision has the shorter contracture term

Plus requires registration and a one-time $250 payment within 90 days. Rupture assistance is up to $5,000 once within 10 years. Contracture assistance is up to $2,500 within 2 years for revision augmentation; the 5-year branch is primary augmentation. Late-seroma assistance is up to $2,000 and double-capsule assistance up to $3,500, each within 2 years. Plus BIA-ALCL assistance is up to $15,000 through 10 years and up to $7,500 from year 11 onward; the maximum per qualifying surgery is $15,000.

Read the headline beside the full contract

The live Plus headline groups late seroma/double capsule at $3,500 and describes 5-year contracture assistance. Its lower table and July 2025 contract separate late seroma at $2,000 and revision contracture at 2 years. Both statements remain visible here. Plus device replacement is lifetime except qualifying contracture, which is 10 years. The contract requires preauthorization, a release and device/document return within 30 days. Prior non-Motiva contracture excludes the revision contracture-event claim; prior textured implants exclude the BIA-ALCL-event claim, not every event.

Serene and historical IDEAL are different records

Bimini’s Serene IFU describes conditional lifetime replacement for qualifying implant failure. The retrieved warranty card gives no surgical-assistance amount or enrollment deadline; that is missing information, not zero. The historical IDEAL July 1, 2015 contract, applicable from August 1, 2015, lists up to $2,400 aggregate eligible uninsured replacement-surgery costs within 10 years. Bimini’s asset acquisition does not establish current honoring of every legacy liability. Obtain a written answer for the original device.

Motiva’s BIA-ALCL definition unusually specifies independent rheumatologist and psychiatrist confirmation; this unresolved warranty-text requirement is not clinical diagnostic guidance. Intact size/style changes, rippling and specified reoperative damage are excluded. The Femtech explant-without-replacement credit is a different scope.

Ask your surgeon

“Which Motiva, Serene or legacy IDEAL agreement applies to my original device, and will the program confirm benefits and exclusions in writing?”

What do breast implant revision screening and rupture tests cost?

FDA’s September 2020 labeling guidance recommends a first ultrasound or MRI at 5–6 postoperative years for asymptomatic silicone implants and every 2–3 years afterward, but supplies no national screening price for a breast implant revision budget. FDA calls MRI most effective for silent rupture and ultrasound an acceptable asymptomatic alternative on its December 2023 risks page. Ask the imaging provider and plan for the actual charge and benefit.

Request the test and the bill separately

Routine surveillance

Ask which modality is appropriate and request ordering, imaging and interpretation charges. FDA gives timing guidance, not a dollar estimate. Its things-to-consider page says regular MRI/ultrasound exams may not be covered by insurance.

Symptoms and a proposed repair

FDA identifies persistent swelling, a mass or pain near an implant as symptoms to discuss with your treating clinician. ASPS describes evaluation of fluid or a mass before routine revision planning. Contact the treating team for assessment; a price comparison cannot identify rupture, contracture or an implant-associated malignancy.

Avoid the automatic replacement budget

Implant age, warranty windows and screening intervals are different dates. Ask what finding or personal goal supports surgery and what future surveillance remains.

FDA recommends MRI for symptoms or an equivocal ultrasound at any postoperative time. Rupture imaging does not replace mammography. There is no saline rupture-screening schedule because rupture can be detected without screening. FDA says implants are not lifetime devices; that does not establish automatic replacement at 10 years.

Ask your surgeon

“Which imaging do I need now, what will each provider charge, and is diagnostic coverage different from routine implant surveillance under my plan?”

Does insurance cover breast implant revision or replacement?

Aetna CPB 0142, reviewed March 19, 2026, distinguishes medically necessary removal of qualifying cosmetic implants from reinsertion it calls cosmetic, so breast implant revision coverage cannot be inferred from removal approval. The 12 price-pass policy records and clinical recheck, checked October 13, 2026, include different commercial, Medicaid and local Medicare branches. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

Each payer’s own scope and wording

Aetna · CPB 0142 · reviewed March 19, 2026

Aetna’s removal branches include silicone rupture, extrusion, recurrent infection, painful Baker IV and severe contracture interfering with mammography. Baker III outside reconstruction needs medical review. Reinsertion after originally cosmetic implantation is “cosmetic” despite medically necessary removal. Saline rupture alone does not qualify. Contralateral removal qualifies when one side meets criteria.

Cigna · 0048 · effective April 15, 2026

Cigna requires imaging for silicone rupture. Other removal branches include Baker IV, exposure, necrosis, malignancy and BIOCELL; infection needs failed/contraindicated/intolerable medical treatment. Cosmetic replacement and mastopexy are “not medically necessary/cosmetic” outside reconstruction exceptions. Contralateral removal ordinarily must independently qualify; shifting/appearance alone is excluded.

UnitedHealthcare · separate policies and purposes

Commercial/Individual Exchange MP.007.33, effective June 1, 2026, calls leaking/defective silicone removal covered, with replacement only after reconstructive original placement. Breast Reconstruction MP.003.29 separately allows BIOCELL removal regardless of original indication and refers other removal/capsule work to InterQual. Complete criteria were not retrieved; no contracture threshold is inferred.

Anthem/Elevance · SURG.00023 · published July 1, 2026

Anthem’s removal branches include documented silicone rupture, infection, exposure/extrusion, painful Baker IV, BIOCELL and removal before breast-cancer surgical treatment. Cosmetic-origin reimplantation is “cosmetic and not medically necessary” outside disease/deformity/reconstruction exceptions. Repositioning and mastopexy are cosmetic outside covered reconstruction; saline rupture alone does not qualify.

Noridian Medicare · L35163 · effective October 16, 2025

JE/JF includes Utah, Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, Wyoming and listed Pacific territories. Removal branches include failed implant, infection, extrusion, siliconoma/granuloma, cancer-diagnosis interference and painful disfiguring contracture after cosmetic or reconstructive implantation. This does not establish new cosmetic replacement benefits. Ask about local billing article A57221.

Humana Medicaid · South Carolina and Louisiana differ

South Carolina HUM-2030-001, effective September 3, 2025, has a noncosmetic-original branch plus separate BIA-ALCL/BIOCELL/BIA-SCC provisions. Refractory-infection proof permits aspirate evidence or listed clinical symptoms; qualifying reinsertion may be covered. Louisiana LA.CLI.040.001, effective May 18, 2026, lists nonreconstructive removal, including suspected/diagnosed rupture and visible painful Baker IV, without South Carolina’s original-implant prerequisite. Contralateral removal may qualify; general cosmetic replacement is not established.

Utah documents need their product and date

Select Health FEHB · 2026 RI 73-865

This specific brochure excludes surgery primarily to improve appearance except stated accidental-injury/reconstructive provisions. It says preauthorization does not establish coverage. The provider portal uses InterQual where a policy is unavailable; complete revision criteria were not retrieved. These are not rules for every Select Health product.

Regence · Surgery 40 and the catalog gap

The clinical recheck recovered Surgery 40 despite the price-pass catalog gap. Reconstructive implant benefits require a reconstructive original indication; pathologically confirmed BIA-ALCL/BIA-SCC has a separate explantation branch. Its cosmetic-primary clause says cosmetic when “one or more of Criteria I, II, III, or IV is not met”. Member contracts take precedence.

University of Utah Health Plans · specific 2026 Individual EPO

The clinical recheck’s Section 9.18 of the 2026 Individual EPO, effective January 1, 2026, excludes capsule procedures, replacement, removal or repair of originally cosmetic implants, with reconstructive exceptions to read in context. The price-pass 2024 document stays historical; neither establishes every university/employer product’s benefits.

PEHP · current eligibility remains unresolved

The April 2026 breast-surgery preauthorization form lists removal, reimplantation and capsule procedures, but a selectable procedure is not a benefit. The July 2026–June 2027 State guide does not supply complete implant-revision criteria; members must obtain the applicable Master Policy. The price pass’s 2018–19 exclusion stays historical. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

Before relying on an approval

Ask what remains payable

Request the benefit determination, allowed services, network status and patient responsibility for surgeon, facility, anesthesia, pathology and devices. Get any cosmetic portion quoted separately. The patient-source corpus contains no complete US approval/denial and final net bill that settles these questions for another person. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

Ask your plan about each service and biller, the original implantation indication, both sides, deductibles, coinsurance and network status. Removal approval does not establish new-device, pocket-repair or lift coverage. Reconstruction exceptions below describe policy boundaries.

Ask your surgeon

“Can you separate cosmetic charges from proposed covered services and obtain my plan’s written decision for each biller before surgery?”

Can I finance breast implant revision, and what are the payments?

For a hypothetical $7,500 breast implant revision balance, standard amortization at CareCredit’s published example APRs gives $374.07 monthly for 24 months at 17.9% or $202.48 for 60 months at 20.9%, using terms checked October 13, 2026. Total repayments are $8,977.64 and $12,148.71. These 2 illustrations are not quotes, loan offers or CareCredit’s contractual payment-factor schedules.

Read the payment rule before signing

A factor is a different calculation

CareCredit’s factors round payments upward to whole dollars with possibly smaller final payments. Payment times term is an upper bound. These amortizations do not replace your contract.

Deferred interest is conditional

CareCredit and CFPB explain that interest accrues from the purchase date and can be charged if a promotional balance is not cleared under the agreement. Minimum payments may not clear it by the deadline. Cherry’s separate waived-interest promotion requires full principal/fee payoff and every payment within 15 days of its due date; its true-zero blog does not override that disclosure.

An expected refund is not cash in hand

The corpus has no complete US warranty claim and bridging-loan history. Ask who pays first, who receives reimbursement and what delays cost; unconfirmed assistance cannot reduce the payable bill.

The principal is illustrative, not a prediction of your surgery bill. Calculations assume fixed APRs, on-time payments and no fees. Totals use unrounded payments; the final payment adjusts cents. The longer term lowers payments while increasing interest.

Ask your surgeon

“What are my actual APR, fees, monthly schedule and total repayment, and could I repay this without the expected warranty refund?”

What have patients reported paying for breast implant revision?

A Miami patient-reported breast implant revision quote of $18,500 included exchange, mesh and lift in a 2024 post, while a Fort Lauderdale patient reported $14,000 for a silicone-to-larger-saline exchange with donut lift in January 2023, in accounts checked October 13, 2026. These are 2 personal episodes with different scope and incomplete itemization. They are not verified invoices or a practice-price spread.

Claire’s expected assistance is not confirmed paid and the manufacturer is not identified. Her same-size plan does not establish whether new devices were purchased or supplied. This is one patient’s quote and anticipated reimbursement, not a warranty approval, insurance decision or a fee offered to another patient.

Claire Stevenson’s May 2025 Alabama video describes a patient-reported $4,200 preoperative total for right capsulectomy, left capsulorrhaphy, mesh and scar revision. She expects about $2,000 back under a two-year warranty, but the maker, actual reimbursement and new-device inclusion are unknown. Do not subtract her hoped-for refund to publish a net price. Her alternative consultation and earlier primary operation are different scopes, not payments for this same repair.

Where these breast implant revision prices come from

Patient questions about paying twice, mesh extras, competing repair plans, missing implant records and waiting for a refund shaped these chapters. Verified practice, maker, payer, FDA and lender records supply the answers; personal accounts show the questions and their limits.

Posted prices and the opening statistic

200 KEEP/FIX rows survive the October 13, 2026 recheck; 6 broad-scope rows are excluded. This guide charts 32 distinct retained rows. The opening uses 34 eligible exchange rows from 29 practice groups, one lowest own-fee figure per group and nearest-rank quartiles. Related Allure/Seattle sites count together; Northwest ownership remains unconfirmed. These advertisements are not representative paid bills.

Scope, dates and benefits

Operations, components and fee bases stay separate. Starting floors have no maximum; access dates do not date a price. Current maker contracts retain conditions and summary conflicts. Natrelle uses the clinical recheck’s 04/24 brochure date; the price-pass January code differs. Historical documents stay historical. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

Personal accounts and loan arithmetic

3 dated patient-price rows and four selected videos stay outside practice-price spreads. Counts describe sources, never people or complication rates. Only uploaded assets play. Two amortization scenarios use unrounded payments and retain cents; actual lender factors and offers differ. No complete US claim file, final net bill or borrowing history establishes your payment.

Prices, benefits and credit terms can change. Request a dated written quote, the original implant agreement and a plan-specific coverage decision. Download the posted prices (table and CSV).
