Fat Transfer, in practical terms.
You're really recovering from two small things: the liposuction where the fat came from, and the area it went to. Expect swelling and some bruising in both for a week or two, and compression where the fat was harvested. The early result looks over-full on purpose, because your body reabsorbs some of the fat over the first few months, what's left at around three months is what stays for good. Most people are back to normal life within a few days to a week. It's gradual, but it's lasting and entirely your own.
