Tummy tuck recovery is significant but manageable with planning. Here's a realistic timeline: Week 1: You'll need full-time help and cannot lift anything over 5 lbs. Walking hunched over is normal. Weeks 2-3: Most can return to desk work. Still no lifting children, but you can supervise. Weeks 4-6: Gradually resume normal activities. Light exercise approved. Weeks 6-8: Resume lifting (including children) and full exercise. For a mom of 3, I recommend: arranging 2 weeks of dedicated childcare help, having someone handle school runs for 2-3 weeks, preparing meals in advance, and sleeping in a recliner initially. Many moms say the results are worth the recovery investment!
