Lip fillers typically last 6-12 months depending on the product used and your metabolism. Juvederm Ultra and Restylane Kysse are popular choices that tend to last 8-12 months. First-time patients may notice their filler metabolizes faster—this is normal. The lips are a high-movement area (talking, eating, kissing), which means filler breaks down faster here than in the cheeks. I recommend starting conservatively with 0.5-1ml for your first time, waiting 2 weeks to see the final result (swelling needs to resolve), then adding more if desired. Most patients settle into a routine of touch-ups every 8-12 months.
