Deep plane facelift cost: Deep Plane Facelift Cost 2026: Fees and Scope
Half of the 28 practices that post their own deep plane face-only price have lowest posted figures between $20,000 and $35,000 (checked October 16, 2026). For face and neck, the middle half falls between $21,000 and $35,000 across 25 practices (checked October 16, 2026). These are spreads of posted starting points, not a typical or average price. Afters’ recheck of posted deep plane facelift prices found face-labelled surgery from $8,995 at Northwest Face and Body to $130,000 at Batniji across 32 deduplicated own-fee rows from 28 practices, and face-and-neck surgery from Randall’s starting surgeon fee of $10,950 through Kassir’s starting surgeon fee of $95,000 across 27 own-fee rows from 25 practices, checked October 16, 2026. ASPS publishes “The average cost of a facelift (rhytidectomy) is $11,395”; its undated cost page does not separate deep plane and excludes anesthesia, operating room facilities and other related expenses. These posted prices are not a typical price. “Face only” here means the priced wording does not establish neck inclusion; it does not prove the neck is excluded. Cleveland Clinic describes lifting SMAS, fat and skin together; deep plane involves source-specific work beneath the SMAS and ligament release, but practices use the term loosely. Compare the written operation and the complete bill.

How much does a deep plane facelift cost in 2026?

Read a spread without turning it into your budget
32 own-fee rows from 28 practices. Northwest Face and Body posts $8,995, with fee basis unstated. Batniji posts $20,000 to $130,000, also with fee basis unstated. Neither settles neck inclusion.
27 own-fee rows from 25 practices. Randall starts at $10,950 before facility and anesthesia. Kassir starts at $95,000 for the surgeon alone. That high floor has no upper limit.
Different surgeons, extents, settings and fee bases sit behind these numbers. Repeated offers count once. Area descriptions, added-procedure bundles, revisions and patient-reported payments do not enter either spread.
These advertisements are not a typical price or a representative US survey. The low face-labelled figure is Northwest Face and Body’s posted price; the high is Batniji’s own posted range. Dr K Miami’s contradictory price-list row is excluded from every spread. The face-and-neck endpoints are Randall’s starting surgeon fee and Kassir’s starting surgeon fee. They do not establish complete bills, a minimum anyone can obtain or a maximum anyone could pay.

What is the average deep plane facelift cost?
ASPS publishes “The average cost of a facelift (rhytidectomy) is $11,395”; its undated cost page does not separate deep plane and excludes anesthesia, operating room facilities and other related expenses. It is a general facelift fee benchmark, not an all-in deep plane facelift average, checked October 16, 2026.
Benchmarks with their original limits
Its cost page says average cost of a facelift (rhytidectomy). No data year appears there; anesthesia, operating room facilities and related expenses are excluded. No deep-plane subgroup is given. Checked October 16, 2026.
Its 2022 report labels surgeon fees. Its procedure page says surgeon and facility fees; its cost table uses both descriptions. Anesthesia and other charges may be extra. None separates deep plane; the wording conflict remains unresolved.
An undated consumer press release describes deep plane with this range. It does not itemize fee basis or provide a survey denominator. Its upper wording remains open; this is society context, not a practice’s fee.
The deep-plane full-face range is attributed to the 2026 Synchrony Average Procedural Cost Study, researched by ASQ360 in 2025–2026. This lender-published context is not an ASPS subgroup or an individual practice offer. The retained row provides no procedure-specific sample denominator.
There is no representative deep-plane average in this packet. AAFPRS’s consumer range, CareCredit’s lender-published study and practice advertisements answer different questions. The Aesthetic Society’s identical figure has conflicting fee labels across its own pages and report.

How much is a deep plane facelift for the face only?
Northwest Face and Body and Batniji anchor face-labelled deep plane facelift advertisements from $8,995 to $130,000 across 32 own-fee rows from 28 practices checked October 16, 2026; their priced wording does not establish neck inclusion.
The database’s face-only category describes that missing information. It is not proof that every operation stops at the jawline. Cleveland Clinic’s 2021 explanation describes the tissue unit, not what a fee includes. A “mini deep plane” offer can sit in this category too. Ask for the proposed dissection, ligament release and treated regions before treating two face-labelled prices as comparable.
“Does this deep plane facelift price include any neck work, and which tissue steps and regions are actually planned?”

Does deep plane facelift cost include the neck lift?
DeLuca posts deep plane face-and-neck surgery starting at $11,800 in office under local anesthesia and $15,870 in an operating room, two separate offers checked October 16, 2026; a deep plane facelift label alone does not establish neck inclusion.
Both DeLuca estimates have open upper wording, so neither printed upper estimate is a ceiling. Face and neck can mean skin and platysma work, while a surgeon may separately propose deeper structures. Jacono and Bryant’s 2018 technique review describes subplatysmal work and a gland-supporting hammock; that is a source-specific approach, not a list of mandatory steps in every priced lift.

Keep each addition attached to its own offer
Face Leawood’s package names a deep face/deep neck operation, brow work and buccal fat removal and/or grafting when appropriate. It does not establish that a quoted package from another practice includes those services or that you need them.
Okland’s article includes full-face fat transfer and coordinated recovery care, with complete surgical fee inclusions unresolved there. Its pricing table describes a different floor. Those inclusions do not establish their necessity or comparative benefit.
A laser or device addition needs its name, treated area, fee and recovery explanation. Combined photographs do not isolate the facelift’s cost or effect.
A package price cannot tell you the extra cost of each operation. Weinfeld’s hyperbaric sessions are separately charged beside its approximate base figures. Sanan’s combination typically spans brow, eyelids, face and neck, lip lift, fat grafting and laser, with the plan customized. Neither belongs in the bare face or face-and-neck spread. Optional fat grafting also prevents isolating a no-graft fee from a combined range.

Is an awake or short-incision deep plane facelift cheaper?
DeLuca’s two deep plane face-and-neck offers start at $11,800 in office under local anesthesia and $15,870 in an operating room, but these October 16, 2026 observations do not establish that awake surgery is cheaper for everyone.
A setting changes staff, time, supplies and anesthesia arrangements; it may also change the proposed operation. ASPS’s procedure page lists traditional and limited incisions separately from the tissue technique. A short incision is not a fee category or proof of limited internal work. Shah’s video likewise distinguishes awake/local supplies from general-anesthesia and facility charges without establishing a universal saving.

How does deep plane facelift cost compare with SMAS and mini facelift?
Dorner posts $41,200 for deep plane face-and-neck surgery beside $27,900 for standard SMAS, with fee basis unstated, while DeLuca starts its office/local deep plane face-and-neck estimate at $11,800 and its mini Weekend Lift at $4,500, checked October 16, 2026.
Same practices, adjacent published offers
These same-practice comparisons reduce one source of variation, but they do not hold the work, anesthesia and inclusions constant. A mini can use a deep-plane approach; the words describe different attributes. Austin’s price list includes optional fat grafting on both traditional/SMAS and deep-plane face-and-neck lines. Do not interpret the menu difference as a technique surcharge or proof of a better outcome.

The metro examples below keep each practice and fee basis visible. A market range in a practice blog describes an area, not necessarily that practice’s charge. A city with only one selected offer has one example, not a reliable distribution. Traveling within the US also adds lodging, help and follow-up arrangements; the packet does not establish representative airfare, hotel or nursing costs.

How much does a deep plane facelift cost in Utah?
Bitner in Layton posts deep plane face-and-neck surgery starting at $17,000 with fee basis unstated, while Mobley in Salt Lake City starts its combined surgeon, facility and anesthesia total at $23,000, two deduplicated Utah own-fee observations checked October 16, 2026.
All six original Utah observations, without double counting
Row 18 starts at $17,000; fee basis not stated. The comparison article was updated January 20, 2026. Row 20 repeats that floor on a second article updated September 11, 2025 and is a duplicate. The described option treats midface, jowls and neck together; mini-lift inclusions do not transfer.
Rows 17 and 19 describe $15,000 to $30,000 as market pricing with fee basis unstated. Row 19 duplicates row 17. These are not another own-fee offer and do not enter the Utah own-fee count or either opening spread.
Row 144 starts at $23,000 when combining surgeon, facility and anesthesia fees. The price page has no visible content date. Its modified-deep-plane wording and variety of techniques stay attached to this one offer.
Row 145 encodes a starting market floor of $25,000. The printed upper wording is open-ended. Ward expressly says the national comparison is unrelated to its own pricing; fee basis is unstated. It supplies no Utah own-fee observation.
Bitner’s second article repeats the same own starting price; it is not another practice. Bitner’s market band and Ward’s national comparison are not their own fees. Mobley’s page describes a modified deep-plane operation and also uses SMAS-tightening terminology, so its price does not establish standardized extended ligament release. Ask each surgeon what that label means in your operative plan.

Why are deep plane facelift quotes so different?
ASPS says facelift fees vary with surgeon experience, procedure and geographic office location, while Sanan’s deep plane face-and-neck total starts at $64,000 and its customized combination at $80,000, checked October 16, 2026.
Find the source of the difference
Face alone, face and neck, deeper neck treatment and added eyelids or brow work are different plans. Ask which maneuver addresses each concern.
Ask for the surgery, anesthesia and facility time allowances and any overrun charges. A surgeon-only floor can look lower than a complete total without representing a lower final bill.
Athre’s video describes his own inclusive surgery, anesthesia and recovery-treatment package. Its existence does not establish that every listed recovery treatment is necessary or improves outcomes. Compare the named services and ask which are optional.
Board certification, state licensure and facility accreditation are different facts. Ask for the operator’s named board and facility arrangements. Generic credential advice on a price page does not establish the surgeon’s certification.
Those two Sanan floors illustrate a scope difference within one practice, not a proven value difference between surgeons. A high fee does not establish safety, natural appearance or greater durability. Compare the operative explanation, relevant training, anesthesia arrangements, facility, aftercare access and written financial policy alongside the price.

Three different reasons for another bill
Ask who assesses it, how to reach the team and which charges could arise elsewhere. A promised surgeon-fee waiver does not establish waived hospital, facility or anesthesia fees. Insurance rules for serious complications differ from coverage of the cosmetic operation.
Request the written policy, eligibility conditions, assessment process and any time limits before paying. A patient’s online concern cannot establish surgical error, the need for another operation or the amount that surgeon would waive.
A later facelift may be a new operation rather than a covered touch-up. No cost-per-year calculation in this guide assumes a fixed lifespan for deep plane or predicts that you will need another lift.
Both pages carry August 2026 review labels, which do not resolve the difference. Prefer the specific table for its stated fee basis, but ask about both figures. Hobgood’s separate revision band and MD Art’s revision floor are other practices’ offers, not what your first surgeon would charge for a correction. The packet supplies no verified written revision-waiver policy or itemized patient revision bill.

Does insurance cover a deep plane facelift?
A cosmetic deep plane facelift is generally self-pay: Medicare’s cosmetic-surgery page usually excludes cosmetic surgery, and Aetna CPB 0031 applies a functional-impairment criterion rather than appearance alone, with both records checked October 16, 2026.
Each payer’s policy wording and its own limits
Last Review 06/25/2026; Effective 08/03/1995; Next Review 01/14/2027. Policy wording: “Aetna plans exclude coverage of cosmetic surgery and procedures that are not medically necessary”. Cosmetic exclusion applies to appearance-only surgery; exception is functional criterion. Medically necessary when functional impairment cannot be corrected without surgery. Applies to Commercial plans; verify individual benefit contract. Checked October 16, 2026. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.
Last review 08/13/2026; publish 10/01/2026. Policy wording: “considered cosmetic and not medically necessary when the reconstructive criteria above are not met”. Cosmetic and not medically necessary when reconstructive criteria unmet, including wrinkle/excess-skin removal or muscle tightening. Reconstructive for significant variation from normal related to accidental injury, disease, trauma, disease treatment or congenital defect. Applies to Anthem plans. Checked October 16, 2026. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.
Undated. Policy wording: “Medicare usually doesn’t cover cosmetic surgery”. Usually does not cover cosmetic surgery. Exception for accidental injury or function of malformed body part. Applies to National. Checked October 16, 2026. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.
Effective September 1, 2026; last review July 2026. Policy wording: “Cosmetic procedures are performed to alter or reshape normal body structures in order to improve appearance.”. Appearance-only normal structures are cosmetic; a listed code does not establish payment. Functional impairment and no contract exclusion may be medically necessary; nonfunctional cause must fit a covered reconstructive benefit. Applies to Regence plans; includes Utah; member contract controls. Checked October 16, 2026. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.
Effective 06/01/2026. Policy wording: “A procedure is considered to be a Cosmetic Procedure when it does not meet the reconstructive criteria”. Cosmetic if appearance changes without significant physiological improvement or reconstructive criteria unmet. General reconstructive criterion: documented physical/physiological abnormality causing functional impairment; proven treatment expected to improve/restore function. Applies to Commercial/Exchange plans. Checked October 16, 2026. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.
Effective 9/15/2026. Policy wording: “The surgery is being performed for the primary purpose of improving appearance.”. Primary purpose of improving appearance or psychosocial complaints without significant physical objective signs is cosmetic and not medically necessary. If benefit available: functional deficit from severe deformity/disfigurement; expected restoration; preoperative photographs; interference with daily activities; nicotine abstinence 3 weeks before/after. If after weight loss: stable weight 6 months plus specified bariatric/GLP-1/other criteria. See entire policy.. Applies to Cigna plans; coverage varies. Checked October 16, 2026. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.
Utah and coverage limits
This regional Original Medicare policy includes Utah in Jurisdiction F. Its rhytidectomy criterion is disease-related functional impairment, such as facial paralysis; appearance-only surgery is excluded. Serious documented complications may be considered separately. It is not a nationwide deep-plane benefit.
The packet did not establish the applicable substantive facelift exclusion or reconstructive policy. Failed access is not evidence that no policy exists or that the operation is covered. Request the member contract and current applicable policy directly.
These six national or commercial payer records and one regional LCD do not decide individual eligibility. Plan exclusions, medical necessity and documentation all matter. ASPS is patient education, not a payer. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.
Each payer below uses its own exclusion and reconstructive language. A covered eyelid procedure does not establish coverage of the facelift in the same session. Noridian’s regional Original Medicare policy permits potential benefits for serious documented cosmetic-surgery complications, which differs from paying for the elective operation or a routine revision. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

Can I finance a deep plane facelift, and what would payments cost?
A hypothetical $23,000 deep plane facelift balance costs $1,147.14 per month at 17.90% for 24 months or $620.93 at 20.90% for 60 months under standard amortization, using CareCredit terms checked October 16, 2026.
The same $23,000 principal, four standard illustrations
The promotion matters as much as the payment
CareCredit’s no-interest-if-paid-in-full promotion can charge interest from the purchase date if its conditions are not met. Minimum payments may not clear the balance in time. Do not treat this as unconditional zero interest or substitute the amortization table for the promotion’s agreement.
Alphaeon separates deferred-interest, low-APR equal-payment and waived-interest plans. Cherry describes qualifying true zero-interest offers without deferred interest. PatientFi’s promotion charges interest during the period and waives it only when payoff conditions are met. Read the disclosure for the product actually offered.
On these illustrations, extending repayment lowers the monthly amount but increases total interest from $4,531.44 to $14,256.05. Compare the total and keep enough room for recovery spending; neither loan predicts a patient’s borrowing history or what a lender will approve.
The principal comes from Mobley’s starting total; a deposit or higher personalized quote would change it. These illustrations do not establish CareCredit availability there, approval or the card’s contractual payment schedule. Totals use unrounded monthly payments, with a rounding adjustment to the final payment. Borrow against a complete quote and a separate recovery budget, not a headline floor alone.

Put personal prices in context
What have patients reported paying for a deep plane facelift?
One Washington DC-metro account reports $31,000 all-in for deep plane face-and-neck surgery with fat grafting in 2026, while a New York account reports a $50,000 face-and-neck component for 2025 surgery, checked October 16, 2026; these are patient-reported amounts, not verified invoices.
Patient-reported payments, kept separate from practice fees
$31,000 for face and neck with facial fat grafting. All-in is the author’s wording; individual exclusions and exact itemization are not established. One personal account, checked October 16, 2026.
$50,000 is the face-and-neck component. Additional eyelid, surgery/anesthesia and nursing charges are described separately. The full total is not established. Repeated posts from the same diary do not create new bills.
The same diary reports $28,000 earlier and just under $30,000 later for face/neck, temporal brow, upper/lower eyelids and fat transfer. Preserve both reports without inventing a price increase or counting two independent patients.
$27,000 for face and neck, with fee basis unstated. A similar reply may repeat the diary. No independent identity count, complete total or dated Utah practice offer can be established from it.
These accounts explain why a remembered number can mislead. The New York component excludes additional eyelid and other fees. The Little Rock diary gives an earlier exact amount and a later approximate description of the same combined bill; it is one episode. The Salt Lake City account has no surgery year or itemization. None contributes to a posted-price spread, city average or typical payment.

Take a written comparison
What should I ask before paying for a deep plane facelift?
Radiance says its written fee estimates are valid for 14 days on a January 2025 schedule rechecked October 16, 2026, illustrating why a deep plane facelift decision needs current written scope, inclusions and payment terms.
Compare two complete deep plane facelift quotes
Budget for the days around surgery
Ask the surgeon what assistance your actual combined operation needs, then price the help and lost income for your circumstances. Early email access does not establish readiness for your job.
Agree on visits, local stay, transport, a companion and care after returning home. Travel stories do not establish clearance to fly.
Have the practice separate required follow-up from optional products and treatments, name the charge and explain the evidence. A package including a treatment does not establish that you should buy it separately elsewhere.
Use the worksheet for the same questions at each practice. If the proposed operations differ, record that before comparing the total. Ask how a deposit is credited, whether it is refundable and what happens after a cancellation, postponement or change in the plan. The packet establishes no universal deposit policy, required nursing duration or complete recovery budget.

Where these deep plane facelift prices come from
Patient questions about complete bills, neck scope, travel, price differences and paying again shaped the outline. Verified practice, society, payer and lender records supply the answers; personal accounts remain separately labeled.
Posted prices and counting
The recheck retained 153 KEEP/FIX price rows. Own-fee spreads exclude duplicates, market descriptions, bundles and revisions. Counts and fee bases appear above. One stale dropped row supplies no fee. This is not a representative survey; checked October 16, 2026.
Scopes and source dates
Face-only means neck inclusion is unresolved. Floors, source-specific inclusions and market attribution remain explicit. Access dates and copyright do not date a fee.
Conflicting statements
Radiance’s inclusion paragraphs conflict. Williams has surgeon-only and total wording; neither is charted. Okland’s revision figures differ, so both appear. Repeated Utah pages do not add practices.
Benchmarks and coverage
ASPS’s current general-facelift cost page gives no data year. Aesthetic Society records use 2022 data but disagree on fee labels. CareCredit names the 2026 Synchrony study and 2025–2026 research. Payer exclusions are paraphrased from each retained record with policy identifiers and dates. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.
Personal accounts and videos
Five patient-reported observations describe four episodes with partial thread access. Source counts are sources, never people or rates. Four selected KEEP videos render only when uploaded; the lead completes full-watch and clean-frame checks.
Financing arithmetic
Four amortization illustrations use Mobley’s starting total and CareCredit APRs. Unrounded arithmetic supplies totals; final payments reconcile cents. They are not card billing schedules or completed patient loans.
Prices, benefits and credit terms can change. Get your own written quote and current disclosures. This guide does not establish an individual surgical plan or coverage decision.
