What people ask about eyelid surgery cost
14 questions, from the national averages to posted prices for upper, lower and four lids, Utah, insurance, lighter options and two quotes side by side. Each answer names where it comes from and ends with a question for your consult.
- How much does eyelid surgery cost?ASPS’s cost page gives an average of $3,359 for upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and $3,876 for lower, but it shows no year and leaves out anesthesia and the operating room.
- How much does upper eyelid surgery cost?Among the 45 upper eyelid surgery (upper blepharoplasty) prices that practices quote as their own, the lowest is $2,800 (Cytryn Cosmetic Surgery, Bethesda, MD, general wording) and the highest is $14,000 (Akshay Sanan MD, Boston, MA).
- How much does lower blepharoplasty cost?Among the 32 lower blepharoplasty (lower eyelid surgery) prices that practices quote as their own, the lowest is $3,000 (Aesthetica Surgery & Spa, Columbus, OH) and the highest is $12,000 (Henry A.
- How much does upper and lower eyelid surgery together cost?Among the 27 prices for upper and lower eyelid surgery together (four lids) that practices quote as their own, the lowest is $4,000 (Eisemann Plastic Surgery Center, Houston, TX) and the highest is a starting price of $24,000 (Gregory D.
- What does eyelid surgery cost when a page doesn’t split upper and lower?Practices post 45 eyelid surgery prices that say “blepharoplasty” or “eyelid surgery” without saying which lids, and 7 more give one price for either upper or lower, so none of them can be filed as an upper, lower or four-lid price.
- What belongs in an eyelid surgery quote? An eyelid surgery quote should name the lids and the technique and list the surgeon’s fee, anesthesia, the facility, prescriptions and medical tests, which ASPS says may come with an eyelid surgery price.
- Why does eyelid surgery cost so differently from one practice to the next?An eyelid surgery price changes with the lids, the technique, where the surgery happens, the anesthesia and what the number counts, so two prices for “eyelid surgery” can describe different operations.
- What do ptosis repair, double-eyelid surgery and canthopexy cost compared with eyelid surgery?Ptosis repair, Asian (double-eyelid) surgery, canthopexy and revision eyelid surgery are different operations from blepharoplasty, and the 41 prices practices post for them and for add-ons are comparisons, not eyelid surgery prices.
- What does eyelid surgery cost in Utah?University of Utah Health lists eyelid surgery at $5,400 for upper lids, $5,950 for lower lids and $7,825 for all four, as estimates, and Mobley MD in Salt Lake City says either pair starts at $5,500 and all four at about $11,000.
Does insurance cover eyelid surgery?Insurance can pay for upper eyelid surgery when hanging skin or a low lid measurably blocks your vision under your plan’s own test, and every policy we read treats lower eyelid surgery as cosmetic or nearly so.- What do tear trough filler, brow Botox, laser and ptosis drops cost compared with eyelid surgery?Tear trough filler, brow Botox, laser, plasma pens and ptosis drops are priced by the syringe, the unit, the session or the 30-day supply, so none of their posted prices is an eyelid surgery price.
What did people say they paid for eyelid surgery?Three creators said what their eyelid surgery cost, and each number is for a different operation, a little over $5,000 for a lower blepharoplasty through the inside of the lid in Raleigh, $5,000 for an upper blepharoplasty with nothing said about what it covers, and about $4,000 for an upper blepharoplasty done in an office in Louisville in 2023.- What hidden costs come with eyelid surgery, and how do I compare two quotes?Besides the price, eyelid surgery can cost you a consultation fee, prescriptions, medical tests, follow-up visits and time off, and a quote may not say which of them it includes, so compare two quotes line by line for the same lids and the same fees.
- How can I pay for eyelid surgery?Practices point to lenders for eyelid surgery, and the lenders post very different terms.
The national numbers
How much does eyelid surgery cost?
ASPS’s cost page gives an average of $3,359 for upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and $3,876 for lower, but it shows no year and leaves out anesthesia and the operating room. The Aesthetic Society says $3,387 from 2022 data. CareCredit, a lender, says $4,451 from a 2023 study, and $4,313 for upper and $4,177 for lower from a 2024 study. They don’t measure the same thing. We found 218 eyelid surgery prices on 109 practice websites in 35 metro areas, checked September 30, 2026, and show each one as posted.
Three national numbers, and what each one covers
ASPS’s own reports
The national numbers beside what practices post
ASPS’s 2020 statistics report, the latest with a fee table we could open, gives $4,120 for eyelid surgery in 2020 and $3,282 for 2019, a surgeon’s fee that leaves out anesthesia and facility costs. Its 2025 report counts surgeries and gives no fee. The Aesthetic Society’s own page calls its $3,387 both surgeon fees and surgeon and facility fees, so we can’t say whether the facility is in. For scale, ASPS counted 120,755 eyelid surgeries for 2024 in its June 2025 release and 118,978 for 2025 in its 2025 report, and the Aesthetic Society estimated 113,996 for 2023. The societies count differently, and ASPS’s 2025 report puts 2024 at 100,185, so don’t read these as one trend.

Of those 45, 17 say a total with the surgeon, facility and anesthesia, 8 say the surgeon’s fee only, 1 names some of the parts, 1 contradicts itself and 18 don’t say. Among them, 14 are starting prices, which are floors, 7 use general wording such as “typically,” and one is for one eye. Another 21 pages describe the range in their city and don’t quote a fee, so they sit under their own heading. Upper eyelid surgery that insurance pays for because it restores vision isn’t priced here, and the insurance chapter says what the policies we read ask for.

Every policy we read treats lower lid surgery as cosmetic or nearly so, so a lower lid price is usually yours to pay.

What the same practice charges for one pair of lids and for all four
Of the 27 own four-lid prices, 10 say a total with the surgeon, facility and anesthesia, 3 say the surgeon’s fee only, 3 name some of the parts, 1 contradicts itself and 10 don’t say. Another 9 describe the range in a city. No source we read defines four-eyelid surgery, and one surgeon’s 892-case review linked combined upper and lower surgery to more dry eye and chemosis, so ask what your surgeon would do to each lid.
“Is this one price for all four lids, and what does each lid add if I only do two?”

What does eyelid surgery cost when a page doesn’t split upper and lower?
Practices post 45 eyelid surgery prices that say “blepharoplasty” or “eyelid surgery” without saying which lids, and 7 more give one price for either upper or lower, so none of them can be filed as an upper, lower or four-lid price. Of the 45, 13 are a practice’s own price and 32 describe the range in a city. We show them apart from the split prices and never add them to one.

One page says “per eyelid” without saying which, so its price may be per lid and not for the pair. Where a page gives a single price for either, the row says it’s one price for upper or lower. A number that doesn’t name its lids can’t be set beside one that does.
“Does your price cover the upper lids, the lower lids or all four, and is it per eye or for both?”

What belongs in an eyelid surgery quote?
An eyelid surgery quote should name the lids and the technique and list the surgeon’s fee, anesthesia, the facility, prescriptions and medical tests, which ASPS says may come with an eyelid surgery price. Of the 133 eyelid surgery prices practices post as their own, 71 say at least part of what they cover, 2 contradict themselves and 60 say nothing.

Bergen Eyelids in New Jersey lists a facility fee of $1,250 to $2,250 in its office and $2,400 to $4,800 in an ambulatory surgery center, and an anesthesia fee of zero without an anesthesiologist or starting at $1,750 with one. Seattle Facial Plastic Surgery in Bellevue prices the surgeon and operating room at $3,850 for either pair of lids, with anesthesia at $500 on its own line. Chicago Eyelids calls its prices “all-inclusive” and then says facility and anesthesia costs may apply, so ask which line settles it.

Why does eyelid surgery cost so differently from one practice to the next?
An eyelid surgery price changes with the lids, the technique, where the surgery happens, the anesthesia and what the number counts, so two prices for “eyelid surgery” can describe different operations. One Raleigh practice’s page lists both upper lids at $5,800 and one upper lid at $4,350, so one eye costs more than half the price of two.
The same upper lids, a different setting, from one practice
One eye, both eyes and four lids at one practice
The same lids, in the same city
Two practices show the setting. Beck Aesthetic Surgery posts about $4,500 for upper lids with local anesthesia and $7,000 with general anesthesia, both with the operating room and anesthesia fees in, and Boston Eyelid Surgery lists $6,500 in the office with local anesthesia and $8,500 in the operating room with its fees in. Technique changes it as well. Akshay Sanan MD prices lower lid surgery at $12,000 to $15,000 with fat grafting and CO2 laser resurfacing included, and Boston Eyelid Surgery lists $4,000 more for a skin pinch or a canthopexy. Within one city the spread can be wide too, as the grid shows.
“What would make my eyelid surgery a different operation or setting from the one you’ve priced, and what would that change?”

What do ptosis repair, double-eyelid surgery and canthopexy cost compared with eyelid surgery?
Ptosis repair, Asian (double-eyelid) surgery, canthopexy and revision eyelid surgery are different operations from blepharoplasty, and the 41 prices practices post for them and for add-ons are comparisons, not eyelid surgery prices. ASPS says a drooping upper lid may come from the brow or from ptosis, which needs a different operation, and Mayo Clinic says a surgeon may combine ptosis surgery with blepharoplasty when the lid droops close to the pupil.

Of these, 14 are for ptosis repair, alone or with lid surgery, and four of those are for one eye. No page we read says what a touch-up after your own surgery costs. Three prices are for revision eyelid surgery as its own operation, $8,000 to $14,000 at Bergen Eyelids for upper lids, $11,500 to $18,000 at Bergen Eyelids for lower lids and from $12,000 at New York Eye and Face Oculoplastic Surgery. A brow lift or a facelift priced with the eyelids is a bigger operation with its own price.

What does eyelid surgery cost in Utah?
University of Utah Health lists eyelid surgery at $5,400 for upper lids, $5,950 for lower lids and $7,825 for all four, as estimates, and Mobley MD in Salt Lake City says either pair starts at $5,500 and all four at about $11,000. Utah Facial Plastics quotes $4,800 to $6,000 for upper lids in general wording, and seven other Utah practices’ eyelid surgery pages we opened show no dollar figure.

Riverton and Salt Lake City. Its page says its team will provide a quote.

No price on its eyelid and facial plastics page.
Of the five Utah practices that post a figure, three quote their own price and two describe only a range, and one of those, Eyelid Center of Utah, does so in part from a post dated September 27, 2021. A Utah Facial Plastics coordinator says doing it in the office with local numbing can lower the overall cost by up to $1,700. Sidecar Health, an insurer’s cost calculator, lists an average cash price of $2,536 at a surgery center and $3,584 at an outpatient hospital for a bundle of charges for both upper eyelids in Utah, covering the visit, surgeon, facility, prescription and anesthesia. Its page has no date and doesn’t explain its method, and it isn’t what a practice charges.

Coverage
Does insurance cover eyelid surgery?
Insurance can pay for upper eyelid surgery when hanging skin or a low lid measurably blocks your vision under your plan’s own test, and every policy we read treats lower eyelid surgery as cosmetic or nearly so. ASPS says most health insurance doesn’t cover cosmetic surgery, but removing redundant skin that covers the eyelashes may be covered. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.
Medicare’s rules are local: each contractor’s policy, for its own states
For California, Nevada, Hawaii, Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming, plus American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. Upper lids are functional when skin or lid position limits the field of vision to about 30 degrees or less from fixation, which the policy ties to a pseudo-MRD of 2.0 mm or less, or when skin at the inner or outer edge blocks the line of sight. The policy relies on photographs and the exam, and says it doesn’t consider formal visual field testing, though an appeal can. Lower lid surgery is almost never functional and isn’t covered, though appeals are considered case by case. Revised October 16, 2025.
For Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. Upper lids are functional when skin or lid position causes a field deficit or brow fatigue, shown by signs such as a pseudo-MRD of 2.0 mm or less, skin that blocks the line of sight, or a field difference of at least 12 degrees with and without the lid lifted. Visual field testing isn’t required. Lower lids are covered only for listed reconstructive conditions, such as swelling from a metabolic or inflammatory disorder that keeps vision impaired, ectropion, entropion or poor lid tone, and cosmetic lower lid surgery isn’t. Revised May 20, 2021.
For Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska (J5); Indiana and Michigan (J8). Needs symptoms and physical signs, such as an MRD of 2.5 mm or less, and a superior visual field difference of 12 degrees or more, or 30%, before and after the lid is lifted. Visual fields read by a physician, from Goldmann or standardized automated testing, are required. The text we read doesn’t address lower lids. Revised January 1, 2026.
For Kentucky and Ohio. Upper lid surgery is reconstructive when it corrects vision impaired by skin weighing on the upper lashes. Visual field testing at rest and with the lid taped, showing at least 12 degrees or 30 percent, is required, and photographs may be used but aren’t required. Reconstructive lower lid conditions such as ectropion, entropion, lid retraction and tearing can be covered, and cosmetic lower lid surgery isn’t. Revised November 6, 2025.
For Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Covers functional upper lid surgery by several routes. A visual field test showing a 12 to 15 degree superior loss, or a 24% to 30% superior impairment, is one route and not a requirement. The listed lower lid conditions are ectropion, entropion, and swelling, a tumor or a mass with ectropion signs, and surgery only for appearance isn’t covered. Medicare prior authorization applies to claims in a hospital outpatient department or an ASC demonstration state, not to in-office procedures. Revised March 21, 2021.
For Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas (J-H); Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania (J-L): eleven states plus D.C.. Uses the same covered-indication text as First Coast: a 12 to 15 degree or 24% to 30% field result is one route and not a requirement, and an MRD1 of 2 mm or less belongs to the brow ptosis case. Its lower lid conditions are the same, and cosmetic-only surgery isn’t covered. Its prior authorization page covers hospital outpatient department and ASC demonstration state claims. Revised March 21, 2021.
For Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin (J-06); Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont (J-K). A policy article, not a local coverage determination. It covers symptomatic dermatochalasis, which is skin weighing on the upper lashes, and other listed conditions when documented complaints justify functional surgery, and it requires visual fields, by tangent screen, Goldmann or automated perimeter, showing at least 12 degrees or 30 percent with and without the lid lifted. The text we read addresses lower lids only for trouble fitting a prosthesis in an eye socket. Revised April 1, 2026.
Four commercial insurers, each with its own policy
Clinical Policy Bulletin 0084, last reviewed March 3, 2026. Covers upper lid surgery for functional visual impairment when photos from the past 12 months show tissue overhanging the lid edge and a visual field test from the past 12 months shows a field of 30 degrees or less before taping and a 12-degree or 30% improvement after. Lower lid surgery is rarely considered medically necessary for vision, with narrow exceptions such as trouble fitting a prosthesis in an eye socket or lid bulk from conditions like Graves disease. Plan documents may differ.
Medical Coverage Policy 0045, effective June 15, 2026. Says coverage varies across plans. Upper lid surgery is medically necessary with vision complaints, upper visual field loss of at least 20 degrees or 30% corrected by taping, and matching photographs. Upper or lower lid surgery without a functional impairment, or only to improve appearance, is cosmetic and not medically necessary, with a few limited lower lid exceptions. Plan documents supersede the policy.
Medical Policy MP.002.29, effective August 1, 2026. Calls brow ptosis and eyelid repair reconstructive and medically necessary in certain circumstances, under UnitedHealthcare’s own InterQual criteria for adults, which the policy doesn’t print. It publishes no field or MRD number, and says that if several procedures are requested, each must meet its own criteria. It doesn’t address lower lids separately in the text we read.
Clinical UM Guideline CG-SURG-03, published January 6, 2026. Covers upper lid surgery for vision when there are functional complaints, photos showing skin on the lashes, and a superior visual field of 20 degrees or less, a 30% loss, or an MRD of 2.0 mm or less, with taping restoring the field. Calls lower lid surgery cosmetic and not medically necessary. Benefit language supersedes the guideline, and some Anthem affiliates use variants.
The numbers measure different things
Anthem asks for 20 degrees or less, Aetna 30 degrees or less before taping, and Noridian about 30 degrees or less from fixation. A smaller number means more loss.
Cigna asks for a loss of at least 20 degrees or 30% corrected by taping. WPS, CGS and Wellpoint Federal ask for 12 degrees or 30%, and Aetna adds a gain of 12 degrees or 30% after taping. A bigger number means more loss.
2.0 mm or less at Palmetto, Noridian and Anthem, and at Cigna for ptosis only. 2.5 mm or less at WPS. 2 mm or less at First Coast and Novitas, where it belongs to the brow ptosis case.
UnitedHealthcare’s policy publishes none and points to InterQual criteria it doesn’t print.
At First Coast and Novitas a field result is one route to coverage and not a requirement. Palmetto says visual field testing isn’t required, and Noridian relies on photographs and the exam.
What the IRS and a plan administrator say
- Eyelid surgery to change how you lookGenerally noIRS Publication 502 says you generally can’t include the cost of cosmetic surgery, and names face lifts, hair transplants, hair removal and liposuction. Eyelid surgery is not named.
- Cosmetic surgery to correct a deformity from a birth abnormality, an injury or a disfiguring diseaseAskPublication 502 makes an exception for those. Your records and a tax professional decide, and it doesn’t say where hanging eyelid skin falls.
- Paying from a federal employee FSALetter neededFSAFEDS says cosmetic procedures aren’t eligible, and those for birth defects, accidents or disease are eligible with a letter of medical necessity signed by your doctor and a detailed receipt.
The tests differ from place to place. Noridian, the Medicare contractor for Utah and 12 other western states, calls the upper lid functional at about 30 degrees or less from fixation and relies on photographs and the exam, while WPS, the contractor for Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Indiana and Michigan, requires visual fields and lists an MRD of 2.5 mm or less among its signs. Aetna, Cigna, Anthem and UnitedHealthcare each publish their own. One Chicago practice charges $500 for a functional consultation that includes visual field testing and documentation for insurance claims, so checking can carry its own fee. One patient says her health insurance covered an upper blepharoplasty after her eye surgeon’s office sent in a visual field test and photos, and a letter of approval came a couple of weeks later.
“If my upper lids block my vision, will you document it with the tests my plan asks for, so I can ask my insurer before I book?”

What do tear trough filler, brow Botox, laser and ptosis drops cost compared with eyelid surgery?
Tear trough filler, brow Botox, laser, plasma pens and ptosis drops are priced by the syringe, the unit, the session or the 30-day supply, so none of their posted prices is an eyelid surgery price. Practices post tear trough filler at $700 to $2,500 a syringe or vial, and a 2026 review says fillers may suit mild tear trough deformity with good skin and little laxity, while surgery stays the most predictable and durable choice for moderate to severe deformity.

Brow Botox, laser, plasma pens and ptosis drops, priced as posted
New York Eye and Face, New York, lists Botox at $24 a unit, Dysport at $8 and Jeuveau at $20. Austin Eye Clinic, Austin, lists $18 a unit, and Chicago Oculofacial Plastic Surgery, Chicago, $15. Raleigh Eye and Face, Raleigh, lists $625 a session for up to 50 units. A 2024 review says lifting the brow with a toxin is off-label and an advanced technique.
New York Eye and Face, New York, lists CO2 laser on the eyelids from $3,500. Chicago Oculofacial Plastic Surgery, Chicago, lists CO2 resurfacing at $3,000, or $2,500 as an add-on to surgery. Raleigh Eye and Face, Raleigh, lists a light laser peel at $1,100 for upper or lower lids and $1,300 for both. Boston Eyelid Surgery, Wellesley, adds $2,000 for CO2 laser to lower lid surgery, and Kuriachan Eye Institute, Irving, lists Morpheus8 under the eyes at $400 a treatment.
Las Sendas Spa at the Trailhead, a med spa in Mesa, lists $500 a session for an eyelid lift or under the eye. One New York practice’s page says plasma with a blepharoplasty usually ranges $500 to $2,500 a session, which is its description of a range and not a fee.
Oxymetazoline 0.1% (Upneeq) is a prescription eye drop for some adults with acquired ptosis. Its own store lists $155 for a 30-day supply, $139.50 on a monthly subscription, plus a $10 telehealth fee for a first visit. Drugs.com lists cash prices from $211.40 for 30 vials, not valid with insurance. Aetna sends the drops to the pharmacy benefit.
Ptosis drops are for a lid that sits low and not for hanging skin, and AAO says they must be used every day to keep working. Upneeq’s own store lists $155 for a 30-day supply, or $139.50 on a monthly subscription, and Drugs.com lists cash prices from $211.40 for 30 vials. In September 2022 the FDA sent a warning letter to one maker of plasma pens sold for the eye area, saying its devices lacked the required clearance, which concerns one manufacturer and not all plasma devices.
“Which of these would you price for my eyelids, and what would it still leave for surgery to fix?”

What did people say they paid for eyelid surgery?
Three creators said what their eyelid surgery cost, and each number is for a different operation, a little over $5,000 for a lower blepharoplasty through the inside of the lid in Raleigh, $5,000 for an upper blepharoplasty with nothing said about what it covers, and about $4,000 for an upper blepharoplasty done in an office in Louisville in 2023. None is an average or a typical price, and none is a surgeon’s quote.

A lower blepharoplasty through the inside of the lid, six months later, Raleigh, N.C. She says it was for the entire procedure, including anesthesia. Said aloud in the video, not shown on screen.
An upper blepharoplasty, about a month later, place not stated. She says it in passing and doesn’t say what it covers. Said aloud in the video, not shown on screen.
An upper blepharoplasty done in the office, day 1, Louisville, Ky. She calls it the total, and says she had light sedation and not general anesthesia. Said aloud in the video, not shown on screen.
All three said their number aloud, and none shows it on screen. The Raleigh creator says hers was for the entire procedure, including anesthesia. The Louisville creator calls hers the total, says she had light sedation and not general anesthesia, and says it was a little cheaper that way. We found no video of someone describing how they paid, and no surgeon’s video we could confirm on a registry.
“If you’ve priced me for something other than what these creators had, what would each part of my price cover?”

How can I pay for eyelid surgery?
Practices point to lenders for eyelid surgery, and the lenders post very different terms. CareCredit and Alphaeon Credit each post a 32.99% purchase APR, and Cherry posts 0% to 35.99% APR on terms of 1 to 60 months, on a page updated June 3, 2026. ASPS says many plastic surgeons offer patient financing plans for cosmetic eyelid surgery.
Lender terms, as each one posts them
Purchase APR 32.99% and penalty APR 39.99%, with a $2.00 minimum interest charge. Agreement form revision 3/2026.
6, 12, 18 or 24 months on purchases of $200 or more. Interest accrues from the purchase date at the purchase APR, and is charged if the balance isn’t paid in full by the end of the promotion.
24, 36, 48 or 60 months at 17.90%, 18.90%, 19.90% and 20.90% APR. Purchases of $1,000 or more may be eligible for 24, 36 and 48 months, and $2,500 or more for 60.
Purchase APR 32.99% on its September 2026 agreement. Deferred interest plans of 6, 12, 18, 24 or 36 months charge interest from the purchase date if the plan balance isn’t paid in full. Low APR plans of 24, 36, 48 or 60 months post 17.90%, 18.90%, 19.90% and 20.90%, and a 36-month waived-interest plan charges none. Late payment and returned payment fees are up to $41 each.
0% to 35.99% APR, terms of 1 to 60 months, amounts of $35 to $65,000, on a page updated June 3, 2026. True 0% APR is for qualified borrowers, and a down payment is required at checkout. Cherry says it has no deferred, retroactive or compounding interest, and that a balance left after a promotion begins accruing interest going forward.
A “0% if paid in full” promotion that waives interest only if the principal is paid in full by the end of the term, on a support article updated December 17, 2025. It also offers reduced APR plans with fixed monthly payments, and the pages we read post no rate.
The CFPB says the typical medical credit card APR was 26.99 percent, against about 16 percent for general purpose credit cards then. It counted almost $23 billion of healthcare spending on deferred-interest plans over more than 17 million purchases from 2018 to 2020, and about $1 billion paid in deferred interest. Those are statistics across all those purchases and not rates you would pay, and they predate the 32.99% CareCredit and Alphaeon now post.
Monthly payments practices post, with no rate or term
Financing options “as low as $135.04 /month.” The page gives no price, term or rate.
“As low as $75/mo,” with approvals up to $10,000. The terms behind its asterisk aren’t shown on the page.
Says lower blepharoplasty payments can be as low as $189 a month on approved credit through Cherry, in a post authored February 2, 2026.
Gives $162 a month on a $6,000 cost, and says interest-bearing plans start as low as 5.99% APR, with true 0% APR plans for qualified applicants. It names Cherry, CareCredit and Alphaeon Credit and gives no term.
The no-interest plans at CareCredit and Alphaeon are deferred interest, which means interest is charged from the purchase date if the balance isn’t paid in full by the end of the promotion. Their reduced-APR plans post 17.90% to 20.90% for 24 to 60 months. The CFPB’s May 2023 report counted almost $23 billion of healthcare spending on deferred-interest plans over more than 17 million purchases from 2018 to 2020, and about $1 billion paid in deferred interest, which is a statistic across all those purchases and not a rate you would pay. We found no video of someone describing how they paid.

How we researched this guide
We began with the national averages, the Medicare and commercial coverage policies and the IRS, then opened every practice page that posts an eyelid surgery price, and watched what people say they paid.
National numbers and policies
ASPS’s cost page and its 2019, 2020 and 2025 reports, the Aesthetic Society’s cost page, and CareCredit’s guide, each as it reads and with the year it shows or none. 7 Medicare policies, each for its own contractor and states, Aetna’s, Cigna’s, UnitedHealthcare’s and Anthem’s policies, and IRS Publication 502, read September 30, 2026. Lender terms as each lender posts them.
Posted prices
218 eyelid surgery prices on 109 practice websites in 35 metro areas, each opened and read September 30, 2026, and 41 ptosis, double-eyelid, canthopexy, revision and add-on prices used only as comparisons. We read each practice’s price page, not its surgeons’ bio pages, so a price here says nothing about any surgeon’s board status, and the prices are practices’ own advertisements, not a survey. We left out 18 prices from 6 practices whose price pages state a credential that isn’t eye surgery or plastic surgery, or name no surgeon, and four prices that were stale or contradicted their own page. A page that describes its city’s range says so, and nothing is averaged.
The videos
Three TikTok creators who said what their eyelid surgery cost, and one who described getting insurance to cover hers, chosen from the 30 we kept after vetting across our eyelid surgery research. All are patients, and all three prices are spoken, not shown on screen. We left out every surgeon’s or practice’s video, because none could be confirmed on a registry, and any video whose creator asks you not to quote a figure. Each is credited and linked to where it was posted.
A posted price can change, and none is a quote. Each video is credited to its creator and links to where it was posted.
