Neck liposuction: How much does neck liposuction cost?

Neck liposuction cost, also searched as chin liposuction cost or submental liposuction cost, has a middle half of practices’ own posted starting points from $2,587 to $4,999 across 38 practice domains, drawn from 41 eligible neck-and-chin-only price rows checked October 16, 2026. These nearest-rank quartiles use one lowest endpoint per practice domain and preserve mixed fee bases and starting floors. The full own-fee posted spread runs from $1,800 starting at Health Additions and Zoran Potparic MD to $9,150 at Hetal Fichadia MD. ASPS says “average cost of liposuction is $4,711”; that is a general-liposuction surgeon fee with no data year stated on its cost page, not a neck-only total. Posted prices aren’t a typical price or a prediction of your bill.

How much does neck liposuction cost in 2026?

A consultation can produce a different operation and complete total.

Health Additions and Zoran Potparic publish floors without itemized inclusions. Fichadia lists surgeon, facility, anesthesia and CosmetAssure in its range. Innovative Surgical Arts has a single advertised amount and a different range on the same page; both remain visible, but neither enters the quartiles or strict spread. Starting prices can rise; printed upper endpoints do not limit every bill. The Aesthetic Society’s separate historical benchmark reads “The average cost for liposuction is: $2,764*” using 2022 National Databank data. Its procedure page describes surgeon and facility fees while its table introduction describes surgeon fees. That discrepancy remains unresolved. Neither society figure is a current all-in chin price. Compare neck liposuction before-and-after photographs only after identifying other operations in the pictures.

What does a neck liposuction quote include?

ASPS lists surgeon fees, anesthesia, facility costs, testing, garments and prescriptions as possible neck liposuction budget lines on its general-liposuction cost page checked October 16, 2026. Cosmetic Surgery Associates explicitly includes compression garments and office visits in its posted package, while Beauty MDs explicitly excludes garments, prescriptions and required laboratory charges from its schedule. Those are two practices’ terms, not universal inclusions.

Four lines to resolve before comparing totals

Surgeon

Confirm the operation, areas and technique beside the professional fee. Randall and Berman explicitly leave facility and anesthesia outside their posted surgeon charges.

Anesthesia

Name local numbing, oral medicine, IV sedation or general anesthesia, and identify the person billing for it. The phrase awake does not establish every medicine or monitoring charge.

Facility

Record office or operating facility, supplies, planned time and any separate bill. Cox and Capital Center explicitly describe facility and anesthesia inclusion; that wording does not transfer to another practice.

Garment and later visits

Cosmetic Surgery Associates names garments and office visits. Beauty MDs excludes garments. Ask about replacement garments, routine follow-up, unplanned evaluation and supplies without assuming a package covers them.

Sources checked October 16, 2026.

Separate the advertised operation from the bill’s components. A surgeon-only schedule needs facility and anesthesia answers before you can compare it with a package. A total described by a practice can still leave medicines, tests or recovery supplies outside the bill. Ask whether the named facility fee covers the planned time and what happens if that time changes. Compression belongs on the comparison even if its price is not printed. Record whether the practice supplies the garment, whether another might be needed and who checks its fit. Confirm the consultation credit and deposit separately.

Ask your surgeon

“Can you mark surgeon, anesthesia, facility, garment, testing, prescriptions and visits as included, extra or not listed?”

Is neck liposuction cheaper under local or general anesthesia?

Sean Doherty posts neck liposuction under local anesthesia at $3,000 to $4,000, and DeLuca posts an in-office/local starting point of $3,500 with an open $4,500+ top, on pages checked October 16, 2026; these two practices do not establish a universal local-versus-general saving. Johns Hopkins says double-chin liposuction typically requires only local anesthetic. The choice still needs an individual assessment and a complete quote.

Read a setting comparison carefully

Ask for the same operation

Compare the same neck/chin areas and tissue work before comparing anesthesia. A broader face-and-neck service is a different line, even when the practice prints it nearby.

Ask about separate charges

Bitner’s facility average and sedation starting fee are separate components. Time under anesthesia can change the bill. No flat surcharge or fixed saving is calculated here.

Sources checked October 16, 2026.

Anesthesia changes who is present, where surgery happens and what is billed, but a comparison between different practices cannot isolate its effect on price. The Ann Arbor schedule separates an awake submental line from a broader face-and-neck line; those labels change scope as well as setting, so subtracting their prices would not produce a general-anesthesia surcharge. Vado Plastic Surgery’s January 2026 video discusses local and general choices in terms of individual comfort without giving a price difference. Ask what awake means in your plan, including any oral medicine or sedation. Bitner separately posts time-based sedation starting at $300 and an average facility charge of $750. Those components do not establish a fixed all-in bill when added to its surgeon fee. Mobley describes usual IV sedation alongside other options, without assigning its starting floor to one exclusive anesthetic. Get a written alternative quote if your clinician considers more than one approach appropriate.

Ask your surgeon

“Which anesthesia and setting do you recommend for my neck liposuction, and what would each appropriate alternative cost in full?”

How much does energy-assisted neck liposuction cost?

Bitner posts neck liposuction with Thermi Tight at $3,500 to $4,200 for the surgeon fee alone, while Derma Laser Center posts $3,600 including its procedure, local anesthesia and facility, checked October 16, 2026. These are two different energy-assisted services with different fee bases. Posted statements checked October 16, 2026. Starting arrows have no ceiling; scopes and inclusions differ.

Ask for the exact device and the exact tissue work rather than treating laser, ultrasound, RF and RF microneedling as one interchangeable upgrade. West End’s named VASER service starts around $4,000 and expressly excludes facility and anesthesia. Sean Doherty describes a higher total range when RF is added, but its wording does not settle every possible component. Élevé prints one range with optional FaceTite; that range cannot identify a plain-lipo price, an energy-only price or the incremental charge. It stays on this chart with the optional mix visible and outside strict energy extrema. FDA’s historical InMode platform clearance describes electrocoagulation and hemostasis and reports no clinical-performance dataset; it is not a promise of a tightening percentage. FDA’s October 2025 warning about certain RF microneedling uses describes burns, scars, fat loss, disfigurement and nerve damage without a chin-specific rate. That warning is relevant when microneedling is proposed, but it is not interchangeable with every RF cannula procedure.

Ask your surgeon

“Which named device and additional tissue work are in my energy-assisted quote, and what evidence supports that addition for my anatomy?”

A combined price does not tell you how much would be removed from the bill if you declined one part. Green Lake separately posts a jowl-only price, but adding that to its chin starting floor would manufacture a package the practice has not quoted. Some facial schedules also fail to identify technique. The four distinct own statements in that category appear separately below, including Ann Arbor’s broader face-and-neck base line and its additional-area condition. An unstated technique must remain unstated. It cannot be assigned to standard suction just because the fee looks similar.

Ask your surgeon

“Can you write separate neck/chin-only, jowl and implant quotes and explain why the proposed combination fits my goals?”

Compare the treatment target

Is neck liposuction or a neck lift worth paying for?

ASPS says neck liposuction cannot improve lax skin tone and identifies loose skin and muscle banding as neck-lift targets, on two patient-education pages checked October 16, 2026. Johns Hopkins describes chin and neck liposuction as removing fat beneath the skin. The appropriate cost comparison therefore depends on which tissue causes your concern; a cheaper fat-removal quote cannot establish the price of treating loose skin or muscle bands.

Ask the surgeon to explain superficial fat, skin quality, platysma and any deeper fullness separately. A UCSF dissection study of 20 cadavers identified fat above and below the platysma; it explains an anatomical distinction, not a personal diagnosis or an expected result. A drawing cannot tell which structure is responsible in your neck. If tightening is the goal, obtain a written quote for the proposed lift and use the separate neck lift cost guide to understand that operation’s own fee scopes. This packet does not provide a verified neck-lift price to import into a neck-lipo spread. Likewise, energy-assisted liposuction and neck-band injections do not become equivalent procedures because their marketing describes a sharper jawline. Before-and-after photographs should name every treatment, not only the least expensive one in the package.

Ask your surgeon

“Is my main concern superficial fat, loose skin, platysma or deeper anatomy, and which operation does your price actually address?”

How much does Kybella cost compared with neck liposuction?

DeLuca posts a $2,000 two-treatment Kybella package, while Sean Doherty posts $1,500 to $2,500 per treatment, checked October 16, 2026; these are two practice offers with different units, not completed-course equivalents to neck liposuction. The September 2026 Kybella label permits up to 6 treatments at intervals no shorter than 1 month. Neither a two-treatment package nor the label’s maximum determines the number you would need.

Nerve and swallowing effects

The label reports marginal mandibular paresis in 20/513 active recipients and 1/506 placebo recipients, and dysphagia in 10/513 and 1/506. Trial resolution does not establish resolution of every future injury.

Other label warnings

The label reports ulceration, necrosis and infection, and warns that nodules or masses may not resolve and may need medical intervention. Postmarketing reports have no exposed-patient denominator here. Ask the treating clinician about warning signs and whom to contact.

Sources checked October 16, 2026.

The label’s indication is improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe convexity or fullness associated with submental fat in adults. It does not approve treatment of jowls or buccal fat. The label asks clinicians to consider excessive skin laxity and prominent platysmal bands because reducing fat can produce an undesirable appearance. Ask for the planned number of visits, what quantity is included, the price of another treatment and how response would be assessed before paying for a course. There is no verified matched-anatomy price comparison here, so multiplying a per-treatment rate by a guessed number of visits would create a false break-even point. The FDA label also prevents treating an injectable as risk-free because it avoids surgery. Its pooled trial safety population reported marginal mandibular nerve paresis in 20 of 513 Kybella recipients versus 1 of 506 placebo recipients, and difficulty swallowing in 10 of 513 versus 1 of 506. These are label trial figures, not a comparison with liposuction risk. Discuss swelling, bruising, pain, numbness and the label’s additional warnings as part of the decision.

Ask your surgeon

“How many Kybella treatments do you propose, what does each price cover, and what would another visit cost if the response is incomplete?”

How much are nonsurgical alternatives to neck liposuction?

For comparison with neck liposuction, Mirror Mirror Beauty Boutique posts $1,250 to $1,600 for a CoolMini treatment, while Esthetica Med Spa describes a US market range of $700 to $1,500 per session, checked October 16, 2026. The first is one practice’s treatment range and the second is one practice’s description of national pricing. Neither establishes a completed-course cost or a like-for-like comparison with neck liposuction.

FDA’s cooling information describes delayed fatty-tissue growth that can need surgery, severe burns and nerve-related changes. Ask what the practice would do and who would pay if assessment or treatment is needed.

Sources checked October 16, 2026.

Ask whether a cooling quote counts visits, applicators or treatment cycles. Those units are not interchangeable, and an advertised treatment does not establish that every area or a repeat visit is included. FDA describes paradoxical adipose hyperplasia as firm fatty tissue growth instead of shrinkage that does not disappear on its own and may need surgery. Its consumer page also lists severe freeze burns and temporary nerve-related changes in lip or tongue position under the jawline. It supplies no US chin-only probability to attach to these prices. The clearance wording for affecting the appearance of lax tissue in the submental area does not establish a neck-lift substitute. Broader FaceTite offers are another category again: some include RF-assisted suction and others do not establish lipo inclusion. They cannot be filed as a uniform nonsurgical course or folded into the standard suction spread.

Ask your surgeon

“Does this nonsurgical quote count visits, applicators or cycles, and what repeat-treatment and complication costs should I understand?”

Read metro labels as geography, not as the denominator of a representative survey. A clinic can publish an area range without offering the low endpoint itself. Some pages have more than one conflicting description, and duplicate pages do not become independent observations. If you are considering travel within the US, ask about the required stay, follow-up visits, support and how unplanned assessment would work after you return home. The patient research did not establish complete comparable trip budgets, so there is no verified travel saving to calculate from these advertisements.

Medicare’s national consumer page states an exception “because of accidental injury or to improve the function of a malformed body part.” That wording does not establish coverage for unwanted chin fat. Aetna’s CPB 0031, last reviewed June 25, 2026, excludes non-medically-necessary cosmetic procedures and lists head/neck suction code 15876 as noncovered for the stated indications. UnitedHealthcare MP.007.33, effective June 1, 2026, retains a reconstructive exception governed by the member plan; it does not convert ordinary cosmetic treatment into covered care. Regence’s Surgery 12, effective September 1, 2026, conditions potential medical necessity on functional impairment and the absence of other contract exclusions. Ask the plan about the exact service and documentation, not simply whether the office accepts your insurance. Later medically necessary complication care is a separate question. WPS LCD L39051, effective August 27, 2026, allows consideration of serious documented complications after official discharge under its conditions. That is a regional policy for Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Indiana and Michigan, not Utah Part B criteria or a national promise. The patient research found no verified cosmetic chin-lipo approval or appeal to add.

Can I finance neck liposuction and what are the payments?

For a hypothetical $4,350 neck liposuction balance, standard amortization at the saved Alphaeon agreement’s APR examples gives $216.96 monthly for 24 months at 17.9% or $117.44 for 60 months at 20.9%, checked October 16, 2026. Total repayments are $5,207.03 and $7,046.25. These two calculations are illustrations, not approved offers, actual card minimums or evidence that Desert Bloom accepts Alphaeon.

The principal uses Desert Bloom’s in-office posted figure with no complete fee breakdown established. Obtain your full surgical quote before deciding how much to borrow. These calculations assume no down payment or fees and monthly compounding. Totals use the unrounded monthly result; the final payment adjusts displayed-cent rounding. Alphaeon’s saved October 2026 agreement supports the rate examples, but the recheck could not render current live numeric terms. CareCredit’s live FAQ independently printed the same APR ladder; its billing can use whole-dollar rounding and contractual payment rules rather than this formula. Compare an actual disclosure’s APR, fees, payment schedule and total repayment. A no-interest-if-paid-in-full promotion is deferred interest: if its conditions are not met, interest can be charged from the purchase date. Required minimums may not clear the promotional balance in time. Qualifying zero-APR installment offers are a different product and are not available to everyone. The patient research found no complete neck-lipo loan contract and repayment history, so these are not observed patient borrowing outcomes.

Ask your surgeon

“What are my actual APR, fees, total repayment and promotional deadline, and does the minimum payment clear the balance in time?”

What have patients reported paying for neck liposuction?

Marissa McKey reported paying $3,900 for chin liposuction in Baton Rouge in May 2023, including the previsit, consultation, office procedure and anesthesia; this is one patient-reported payment, not a current practice fee or verified invoice. Four selected written reports below also retain city, year uncertainty and operative scope, checked October 16, 2026. None enters the posted-price quartiles or spread.

Sources checked October 16, 2026.

McKey first rounds her amount and then clarifies it; those are not two bills. Her statements about comfort, compression and massage describe her experience and do not prescribe another patient’s care. A Washington DC written account corrected its earlier figure after recognizing anesthesia was missing. The corrected amount is shown, with the surgery year marked as inferred. The Chicago account includes neck and jawline work and describes a deposit and payment before surgery, but documents no lender, APR or repayment contract. Do not count a later update from that same diary as a second independent bill. The Pasadena account is not itemized and its year is inferred from the post and stated interval. The Las Vegas account calls its amount all-in, but gives no invoice or complete breakdown. These reports cannot establish what most people pay or authenticate photographs. Supplied-treatment estimates, quotes and add-ons need different labels.

Ask your surgeon

“How does my itemized operation and total differ from the scope and missing charges in this patient-reported price?”

What extra recovery or revision costs follow neck liposuction?

Ronald Friedman’s neck liposuction schedule includes surgery, a compression garment and routine preoperative and postoperative visits in two starting-price lines, checked October 16, 2026; it does not explicitly bundle facility and anesthesia. ASPS lists revision and poor healing among possible liposuction risks. Neither source establishes a free correction policy or who would pay every later-care bill.

Ask about routine follow-up, unplanned assessment, treatment of a complication and a later elective correction as separate financial situations. A waived surgeon fee would not establish waived anesthesia, facility or outside-care charges. Small incisions still need follow-up; Friedman’s instructions explain that a small incision can leave a firm, raised scar during healing. The entry-site drawing is schematic and does not show the size or exact placement of your incisions. For recovery spending, list transport, help, time off, medicines and any prescribed supplies without assigning an invented standard budget. Utah’s patient instructions say to continue compression until the surgeon says to stop, so another patient’s garment schedule does not establish how many supplies or appointments you will need. The patient-source packet did not establish an itemized US revision bill or a written warranty that settles all components. If substantial or persistent bleeding occurs, Utah advises contacting a doctor or emergency department; signs of infection need prompt evaluation. Ask about access and payment arrangements in advance, but seek assessment when symptoms occur.

Ask your surgeon

“What would I owe for routine visits, unexpected assessment, complication treatment or a revision, including bills from other providers?”

Take a written comparison

What should I ask before paying for neck liposuction?

Darren Smith posts a $500 consultation fee credited toward a booked procedure, while Ann Arbor says its surgical deposit and anesthesia cost cannot be financed, on two practice pages relevant to neck liposuction checked October 16, 2026. These payment terms illustrate why a headline fee or monthly advertisement does not answer what you must pay before surgery. Get scope, complete total, credits, exclusions and cancellation terms in writing.

Use the worksheet to compare the same lines across consultations. Resolve why the proposed operations differ. Confirm each biller, quote expiry, reservation payment and consultation credit. Ask what happens if the plan changes after examination, if surgery is postponed or if you decide against it. A deposit and payment before surgery are payment stages; they do not establish a loan or its terms. The La Jolla source in the research advertised a monthly floor without a verified APR or cash total, so no surgical cash price is manufactured from it here. Keep your recovery budget beside the surgical quote and leave blank amounts unresolved until the practice answers. Copy this browser-saved worksheet for your consultation.

Where these neck liposuction prices come from

Verified practice, policy, lender and clinical pages checked October 16, 2026. Patient questions about scope, anesthesia, add-ons and later care shaped the chapters. These advertisements are not a representative survey.

Posted starting points

41 eligible neck-and-chin-only own-fee rows from 38 practice domains supply nearest-rank quartiles of one lowest endpoint per domain. Mixed fee bases remain. This is not a typical bill. Duplicates, market descriptions and unresolved conflicts stay outside the summary.

Every retained statement has a disposition

The frozen foundation retains 120 KEEP/FIX rows. The charts select 31 distinct own statements and 8 distinct market descriptions. Other retained statements remain in the foundation; six later duplicates are not independent observations. Three dropped rows provide no amounts. Neck/chin only, energy-assisted, jowls, augmentation and unstated technique remain separate. All rows retain the checked date, fee basis and source link. A check date or copyright is not a price date.

National figures and missing evidence

ASPS’s general-liposuction surgeon fee has no data year on the cost page. The Aesthetic Society benchmark uses 2022 data and has unresolved surgeon-versus-facility wording. Neither is a current isolated-neck total. No numeric ASDS neck-only benchmark or usable neck-specific ASPS report figure was established.

Patient reports and videos

Four written patient reports retain city, year uncertainty and scope; invoices are unverified. The voices packet is incomplete and diaries can overlap. Two KEEP videos cover a historical payment and anesthesia choices. Source counts are not outcome rates.

Policies and loan math

Each payer’s wording keeps its jurisdiction and version. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee. Two monthly-compounding loan illustrations use unrounded totals and adjusted final payments. Alphaeon’s live numeric terms were unavailable. Actual billing and approval differ. No patient loan outcome or insurance approval was verified.

Prices, credit terms and benefits can change. Get a dated, individualized written quote. No surgery price, benefit or outcome is promised.
