How much does a neck lift cost?

ASPS says the average neck lift costs $7,885, but that’s the surgeon’s fee alone, from statistics it shows with no year. The Aesthetic Society’s $5,270 is 2022 data whose footnote names surgeon and facility fees, and CareCredit’s $6,149 comes from a lender’s October 2023 study that doesn’t say what it includes. So there is no single price, and we found 79 neck lift prices posted on 77 practice websites in 28 metro areas, checked September 30, 2026.

27 of those 79 say what they cover. The 8 standard neck lift prices a practice states as a total, with the surgeon, facility and anesthesia, ran from $10,000 to $55,000, each for its own operation and city. CareCredit’s page prints a range of $3,000 to $14,750. Compare a price only with one that covers the same things.

What do practices post for a neck lift, a mini neck lift or a deep neck lift?

Practices post very different neck lift prices because each page prices a different operation in a different city. We found 79 neck lift prices, and show each one as posted, grouped by the scope it prices and never averaged.

67 pages don’t say mini or deep, 5 say deep, 3 say mini ($2,500 to $5,000 in Atlanta; starting at $8,800 in Atlanta; starting price $15,000 to $20,000 in Wayne / Philadelphia), 3 say direct and 1 includes liposuction and platysmaplasty. 26 are a page describing its city’s range, not a fee the practice quotes. By what they cover, 16 say a total, 7 say the surgeon’s fee only and 52 say nothing. Face-and-neck lifts sit under their own heading below.

What’s in a neck lift quote?

A neck lift quote should list the surgeon’s fee, anesthesia, the facility, medical tests, garments and prescriptions, the costs ASPS lists. Of the 79 neck lift prices practices post, 27 say at least part of what they cover and 52 say nothing.

Few pages give dollar splits. One Houston practice says to add $2,800 for anesthesia and the facility to its $9,000 facelift and neck lift line, a Beverly Hills practice’s blog puts market ranges at $1,200 to $2,800 for anesthesia and $1,800 to $4,000 for a facility, and a Layton, Utah, practice lists a facility fee that averages $750 and sedation from $300. One Utah practice’s two pages disagree about what a price covers, so ask.

Why does the same neck lift cost so differently from one practice to the next?

A neck lift’s price changes with the operation it covers, what the number counts, the city and the practice. A price for a mini neck lift and a price for a full one are different prices, and so are a surgeon’s fee alone and a total.

One Beverly Hills practice’s blog gives $5,000 to $9,000 for a limited neck lift and $10,000 to $16,000 for a full one with platysmaplasty, both as the surgeon’s fee, and $8,000 to $14,000 and $16,000 to $26,000 all in. One Seattle practice posts $6,900 for an intermediate neck lift and $10,850 for one with drains, both as surgeon and operating room. Within one metro the posted prices also spread, as the grid shows.

What does a neck lift cost in Utah?

One Utah practice posts a neck lift price, Mobley MD in Salt Lake City, which says a neck lift total starts at $23,000 and up, with the surgeon, facility and anesthesia. The other Utah practices we checked post facelift prices from $14,000 to $24,000, and those aren’t neck lift prices.

Other Utah practices’ neck lift pages showed no dollar figure. CareCredit’s 2023 study lists $5,789 for Utah, one average with no sample size and no stated scope. A Salt Lake City practice posts neck liposuction from $4,500, which is a different operation. We opened each page on September 30, 2026.

Coverage

Does insurance cover a neck lift?

Most insurers treat a neck lift as cosmetic, and ASPS says most health insurance plans don’t cover neck lift surgery or its complications. In the four policies we read, Aetna and Anthem list neck tucks as cosmetic, UnitedHealthcare lists the codes for a neck lift as cosmetic, and Cigna’s says coverage varies by plan and applies to neck skin surgery only when every one of its functional criteria is met.

Plan documents can differ, so your plan decides. We found no Aetna criterion written for platysmal bands, and no policy for a neck lift after massive weight loss. The IRS says cosmetic surgery such as face lifts generally isn’t a medical expense, which matters for an HSA or FSA.

A Nefertiti neck lift, neck liposuction, Kybella and energy treatments are different treatments from a neck lift, and each posts its own price. The 19 neck liposuction prices we found ran from $2,000 to $14,000, and they price a different operation.

FDA approved Botox Cosmetic for platysma bands only, on October 18, 2024, and the jawline part of a Nefertiti neck lift rests on a 2017 study of 30 patients. Pages post it as a flat $480 in Murray and Riverton, Utah, $300–$800 a session in New York and $25 a unit in Beverly Hills. Kybella, FDA-approved for fat under the chin, posts $550 a vial in Holladay, Utah. Bands and jawline treatments wear off, so ask how often.

What did people say they paid for a neck lift?

One patient said she paid $17,500 for a deep plane neck lift with a chin implant, a testimonial her surgeon’s own practice posted, and four other creators gave numbers for different operations. None of these is an average or a typical price, and each covers a different set of surgeries.

A second creator recalled $33,000 to $36,000 for a neck lift in 2022 and didn’t say what it included. Two gave bundles, $16,000 for four procedures and $78,500 shown on screen for six. The last read two on-screen figures, “almost $6000” and “a little over $7k,” both “with fees,” and we treat it as the weakest, since who quoted which is our reading of the frames.

What hidden costs come with a neck lift, and how do I compare two quotes?

Besides the price, a neck lift costs you time off, help at home, follow-up visits and, if something needs fixing, possibly a revision, so compare two quotes line by line for the same operation. Start by writing down what each quote says it includes.

Carolina Facial Plastics in Charlotte says its fee covers 2 to 3 visits before surgery and at least 8 in the first year after, and a Portland practice says its surgeon’s fees include a year of follow-up appointments. Cleveland Clinic says most people return to work in 7 to 14 days, and ASPS says to have someone stay with you at least the first night. We found no price for a revision on these pages, so ask for it in writing.

How can I pay for a neck lift?

Practices say you reserve a neck lift date with a deposit, $500 at two practices we read and 20% at a third, and then pay by layaway or a lender’s plan. Read the terms of any plan before you sign, since some charge interest from the day you buy.
