Start by finding what the number buys. Pacific Lipo’s limited-time offer and its regular price appear together with their exclusions. Neither is an ordinary all-in fee. Some practice pages disagree with other pages on the same site. Seattle Plastic Surgery and DiBello each have differing posted figures; Chicago Breast & Body differs on anesthesia inclusion. We show those pairs rather than choose the figure that makes the operation look less expensive. Bring a dated written quote to the comparison, and ask which page and package it supersedes.

What is the average cost of fat-transfer breast augmentation?

ASPS says the “average cost of breast augmentation with fat grafting is $5,719,” but its cost page gives no statistics year and excludes anesthesia, operating-room facilities and other related expenses, as read October 16, 2026. CareCredit’s July 24, 2026 article says “The average cost for a fat transfer breast augmentation is $8,598” and “can range from $5,977 to $14,618.” Those are two publishers’ differently defined benchmarks, not interchangeable complete quotes.

Eight benchmark records, including fee-basis companion records, read October 16, 2026. They are not eight independent surveys.

The Aesthetic Society’s 2022 procedure page says “Breast Augmentation (fat grafting): $3,476” and describes standard procedure costs as surgeon and facility fees. Its 2022 databank PDF places breast fat grafting under a surgeon-fee heading. That fee-basis disagreement remains unresolved. The figure keeps the original wording and the report period beside each number. We do not relabel the older figure as a current-year total. If a consultation uses one of these figures to explain its price, ask the practice to identify the source year and the included charges.

Ask your surgeon

What does a fat-transfer breast augmentation quote include?

ASPS’s breast augmentation cost page lists anesthesia, facility costs, tests, garments and prescriptions as possible cost components, so a fat-transfer breast augmentation price needs its own written inclusion list; the page was checked October 16, 2026. ASPS defines breast fat transfer as liposuction followed by injection of your own fat. The Aesthetic Society separates harvest, purification/transfer and placement.

The lines to find on a breast fat-transfer quote

  1. The operation

    • Harvest liposuctionName each donor area and the priced extent.
    • ProcessingPreparation, transfer supplies and any separately charged system.
    • InjectionThe breast grafting work and surgeon’s fee.
  2. The setting

    • FacilityOperating room, supplies and time covered.

    • Garments and visitsAsk
    • Later sessions and complication careAsk
ASPS’s cost checklist and 20 quote-component findings checked October 16, 2026; listed components are not automatically included.

Your quote should identify the harvest liposuction, the areas it treats, fat processing and breast injection. Then look for the surgeon, anesthesia provider and operating facility. Ask whether the stated operating time covers the whole plan and what happens if the procedure changes. A price described as all-inclusive still needs an inclusion list you can keep. John Burns’s posted package names liposuction, surgeon, operating room, anesthesiologist and recovery compression garments. Gandolfi’s surgeon-fee sheet leaves out facility, anesthesia, implants, postoperative massages and garments. Those two examples explain why the heading alone is not enough. Processing may be part of the surgeon’s work or described with a named system; the research does not supply a verified universal device surcharge. The drawing shows graft placement and the concept that not all transferred fat survives. It does not turn an injection volume into a promised result. Ask separately about later treatment, because an initial package does not establish a free touch-up policy.

Ask your surgeon

“Can you mark harvest, processing, injection, anesthesia, facility, garments and follow-up as included or extra?”

Does fat-transfer breast augmentation cost include liposuction?

Michele Shermak’s posted fat-transfer breast augmentation price starts at $7,500 with an abdomen donor site, while Sundin lists a $3,500 grafting add-on to separately charged liposuction; both pages were checked October 16, 2026. Those two own-fee rows price different scopes. Harvest is part of obtaining your fat, but the advertised grafting line may leave the liposuction charge outside that line.

Ashley Amalfi’s ASPS-hosted explanation names love handles, abdomen and hips as common donor examples and describes processing before small-syringe injection. Ask the practice to write the anatomical names, whether both sides are included and whether harvest for the breasts is being combined with more extensive contouring. The chart preserves the actual area descriptions. Colorado Plastic Surgery Center prices a starting Lipo 360 combination. Rodriguez separately describes a one-area estimate, a two-area estimate and a Lipo 360 estimate naming abdomen and flanks. Johnny Franco’s row says one area without naming it; Kamran Azad’s says two without naming them. We leave the missing anatomy missing. Capital Center’s Lipo 360 price includes facility and anesthesia, but its source does not explicitly establish a surgeon-fee component. An add-on is not a completed surgery price. NuBody and Sundin’s grafting components need their base liposuction charges. For the broader harvest procedure and its area-pricing questions, use the liposuction guide alongside this one.

Ask your surgeon

“Which named liposuction areas does my total include, and is any grafting line only an add-on?”

Is fat-transfer breast augmentation cheaper than implants?

York Yates posts $11,000 to $17,000 for fat-transfer breast augmentation and $14,000 to $15,000 for implant-plus-fat augmentation on its financing page, checked October 16, 2026; these two scopes cannot establish that fat is cheaper than implants alone. The practice’s separate cash-price page gives fat only as $11,000 to $16,000. That conflicting upper endpoint stays visible in the Utah section.

Use the implant breast augmentation cost guide for the implant comparison. Composite augmentation buys an implant operation plus fat grafting; it cannot stand in for an implant-only quote. The Aesthetic Society describes fat for a modest increase with good existing shape and skin tone, and separately describes grafting around implants. If the goal requires a substantial increase or a lift, a fat-only starting price may not describe the operation being considered. The option drawing explains the difference in materials and surgical scope. It makes no size promise. Its next group contains small-volume or lift-associated grafting whose base technique is not established as standalone augmentation. Tampa Face & Body, Sean Doherty, Ganchi and Vado therefore do not set the fat-only opening spread through those rows. Request matched written proposals if both approaches fit your goals. Each proposal should say whether it includes a lift, donor liposuction, implant devices and later visits. Procedure selection needs your surgeon’s assessment of the breast and donor sites, rather than an assumed saving attached to the word natural.

Ask your surgeon

“If both approaches fit my goals, can you quote fat only and implant augmentation with the same fee inclusions?”

How much does fat transfer after breast implant removal cost?

Sundin posts $11,000 to $12,000 for implant removal with breast fat transfer, while Whitfield describes a $3,000 to $6,000 approximate fat-transfer add-on rather than the full removal bill; these two after-explant rows were checked October 16, 2026. One is an own combination fee and the other a practice’s market description. They cannot be pooled into a complete-operation range.

Sundin · Richmond

The posted removal-plus-fat schedule is a combination. Its separately listed liposuction add-on belongs to a different scope and cannot replace this figure.

Lampert’s page illustrates another trap. Although its title concerns fat transfer after implant removal, its starting fee explicitly applies to stand-alone grafting. Removal, a lift and other enhancements change the tailored quote. We classify that row as fat only, and show its qualification beside the after-explant comparison. Removal, capsule surgery when indicated, a lift and fat transfer are separate elements of a plan. Aetna also separates whether removal meets its medical criteria from whether replacing volume with fat is cosmetic; approval for one line does not decide the other. The insurance chapter keeps those policy words intact. Kelly Killeen’s video discusses staging additions when the total is hard to afford. It contains no fee and does not show that staged surgery costs less overall. Her views about capsulectomy and illness are not instructions for your own operation. The revision guide covers removal and associated repairs in more depth.

Ask your surgeon

“Does this price include removal, any indicated capsule work, a lift and grafting, or only the fat-transfer part?”

How much does a second fat-transfer breast augmentation session cost?

Gartner’s page describes $3,000 to $5,000 for an additional breast fat-transfer session as a market statement, not a confirmed quote for its own patients; it is the packet’s one revision-scope price row, checked October 16, 2026. ASPS says touch-up injections may be needed to retain the improved shape, and the Aesthetic Society says reaching the desired size may require multiple sessions. Neither society supplies a universal repeat-session price.

What “touch-up” needs to mean in writing

More volume

The Aesthetic Society says your desired breast size may require multiple sessions; it gives no universal session count or fee.

Maintaining shape

ASPS says touch-up injections may be needed to retain the improved shape. That statement supplies neither a free-treatment policy nor a repeat-treatment rate.

Correcting a problem

Ask whether an asymmetry or complication review uses the same payment policy as an elective additional session.

Two society education sources and one practice market-price row, read October 16, 2026; these are not incidence data.

The research uses a revision label for the Gartner row, but its meaning is an additional session. It is not an itemized quote to repair a complication. Keep elective added volume, a small shape adjustment and treatment of a problem separate when you ask about future costs. Ask what a repeat session would require at the donor sites and what it would bill for the surgeon, anesthesia and facility. A surgeon-fee waiver, if offered in your agreement, would not automatically waive other providers’ charges. The verified packet does not establish a standard waiver or graft-retention warranty. It also cannot tell you how many sessions you personally will need. The patient-reported section includes a Charlotte diary describing a separately paid second round. That is one person’s experience, with repeated posts and conflicting first-round recollections, rather than a practice policy. Do not double a starting fee or multiply a retention estimate to create a lifetime budget: neither calculation identifies your actual future treatment.

Ask your surgeon

“How would you price another session for added volume, a touch-up or a complication, including every provider’s fees?”

How does fat-transfer breast augmentation cost vary by city?

Buckhead posts $8,000 to $13,000 in Atlanta and Campanile posts $11,995 to $18,995 in Denver for fat-transfer breast augmentation, with different stated fee bases; both own-fee pages were checked October 16, 2026. Shermak is in Lutherville; Rodriguez prints Lutherville-Timonium. Vado prints Winter Garden rather than Orlando, and Aesthetx lists several Bay Area offices. Multi-office prices do not become independent quotes in every city on the page. The market examples show another reason to slow down. A practice can publish a city or national range without quoting its own charge. Aspira’s moderate-transfer subset sits inside a broader market range. Sukkar’s introductory Houston range, FAQ and other page have different bounds. Those are retained as differently worded market statements, not resolved into a single practice fee. Your written scope, anesthesia and facility inclusions still matter more than a city label. If you consider a practice away from home, ask about follow-up, local help and how a concern would be assessed after you return. The research supplies no standard travel allowance, and a lower advertisement cannot answer those care questions.

Ask your surgeon

“Is this your own fee at the location where I would have surgery, and what follow-up does it include?”

Those differing Yates endpoints are not silently reconciled. Ask which current written quote applies to your operation and payment method. The same practice’s grafting component plus separately charged liposuction is not another complete fat-only price. Its composite implant-plus-fat row belongs in its own category. The full and mini tummy-tuck bundles include additional surgery and unspecified donor areas, so neither can establish the cost of breast grafting alone. Belle’s chain floor is not an independent Draper quote and a separate Bountiful quote. We count the price source once, retain the printed multi-office location and avoid inventing branch-specific rates. CareCredit’s July 24, 2026 article prints “Utah $8,127.” That is a lender-published state average, not an eighth practice row or a quote for your plan. The packet also has gaps for Utah-specific coverage, so neither that average nor a local office address establishes insurance eligibility.

Ask your surgeon

“Which Utah-location quote applies to me, and how does its exact scope differ from the other prices on your site?”

Does insurance cover fat-transfer breast augmentation?

Aetna’s CPB 0185 considers breast reconstructive surgery cosmetic for indications outside its listed criteria, while CPB 0142 calls fat grafting after removal cosmetic when the original implant was placed for cosmetic indications; both were checked October 16, 2026. These two policies do not make appearance-only breast fat transfer a covered benefit. The qualifying reconstructive wording appears separately in the figure, exactly as the policy states it.

Each payer’s actual words, and what remains unverified

Aetna · CPB 0185

“grafting of autologous fat as a replacement for implants for breast reconstruction, or to fill defects after breast conservation surgery” Last Review 04/22/2026; effective 11/13/1997; next review 02/11/2027. Reconstruction exception does not establish cosmetic augmentation coverage. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

Aetna · CPB 0185

“Aetna considers breast reconstructive surgery to be cosmetic for all other indications not listed above.” Last Review 04/22/2026; effective 11/13/1997; next review 02/11/2027. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

Aetna · CPB 0142

“Aetna considers autologous fat grafting (lipoaugmentation) following breast implant removal as cosmetic, where the implant was placed for cosmetic indications” Last Review 03/19/2026; effective 07/11/1996; next review 02/11/2027. Do not imply covered removal means covered fat transfer. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

UnitedHealthcare · Commercial/Exchange policy

“Breast reconstruction for asymmetry for all other indications is considered cosmetic and not medically necessary.” Effective 01/01/2026. Not a separate coverage promise for fat-only cosmetic breast augmentation. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

Medicare · Coverage page

“Medicare usually doesn’t cover cosmetic surgery unless you need it because of accidental injury or to improve the function of a malformed body part.” Undated. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

Regence (Utah-relevant) · Surgery 12

“If the intervention is intended to treat a functional impairment and if no other contract exclusions apply, it may be considered medically necessary.” Effective September 1, 2026. General framework only; breast-fat-specific entitlement not established. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

Select Health (Utah) · Public policy portal

“Medical Policies” Accessed 2026-10-16. Access gap: no inference of coverage or noncoverage from missing PDF. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

Utah Medicaid · Public portal

“Utah Medicaid” Accessed 2026-10-16. Specific coverage gap; generic portal is not an exclusion policy. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

Eight retained policy or access records, read October 16, 2026. Select Health and Utah Medicaid are portal gaps, not coverage decisions. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

Aetna’s reconstructive exception includes “grafting of autologous fat as a replacement for implants for breast reconstruction, or to fill defects after breast conservation surgery.” That is a defined reconstructive context, not a general exception for anyone who wants volume restored after cosmetic implants. CPB 0185’s last review was April 22, 2026; CPB 0142’s was March 19, 2026. Medicare’s consumer page usually excludes cosmetic surgery with stated accident/function exceptions. It is undated consumer guidance, not a Utah contractor’s fat-grafting determination. UnitedHealthcare’s effective January 1, 2026 policy also distinguishes its qualifying reconstructive indications from other asymmetry surgery. Regence’s general framework does not establish a breast-fat-specific entitlement. Select Health and Utah Medicaid portal records are access gaps; a missing policy does not prove either coverage or exclusion. Your indication, plan terms, exclusions and any authorization requirements still decide the case. Ask who will request a written determination and which operation and diagnosis it describes. Keep cosmetic additions itemized even if another part of the operation is covered. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.

Ask your surgeon

“Can my plan give a written determination for the exact fat-grafting indication and identify the charges I would owe?”

Can I finance fat-transfer breast augmentation?

Financing $7,500 of Belle Medical’s posted chain-wide breast fat-transfer starting floor would cost $374.07 a month at 17.90% APR over 24 months in a hypothetical amortization calculation checked October 16, 2026. This is one scenario using a posted floor, not a complete quote, lender offer or approval. Belle’s floor gives no upper limit and does not establish all-in fees.

Two hypothetical amortization scenarios using Belle Medical’s chain-wide starting floor, checked October 16, 2026. Not lender offers, card minimum payments, approvals or final bills. Totals use the unrounded payment; the last payment adjusts for cent rounding.

A financing label needs its repayment conditions

Fixed-rate borrowing

Compare APR, term, fees, total payments and early-payoff rules in your actual agreement. The illustrated formula does not reproduce any card issuer’s billing system.

Deferred interest

CareCredit says interest is charged from the purchase date if the promotional balance is not paid in full under the offer’s conditions. Minimum payments may not clear that balance by the deadline.

Qualifying zero interest

Cherry distinguishes its qualifying true zero-APR plans from deferred interest. Eligibility and the offer at your practice still need checking.

Read the total paid and interest beside the monthly amount. These examples use a fixed-rate amortization formula with no added fees. We calculate totals from the unrounded payment, round once to cents and adjust the last displayed payment so the rounded schedule reconciles. They do not reproduce CareCredit’s monthly rounding, minimum-payment rules or daily-interest card billing. APR and term illustrations do not predict approval or show that this practice accepts a particular offer. CareCredit’s deferred-interest terms say interest can be charged from the purchase date if the promotional balance is not paid in full as required. That differs from Cherry’s qualifying true zero-APR plans. Read the agreement you are actually offered, including the payoff deadline, fees and what happens after a missed payment. Kirsten’s preoperative video describes waiting for money, with no evidence of an executed loan. Use the shared financing guide for a fuller comparison of credit products and repayment conditions.

Ask your surgeon

“What are my APR, fees, payoff deadline and total payments under the agreement I am actually being offered?”

What do patients report paying for fat-transfer breast augmentation?

One San Francisco Bay Area patient reported paying $10,000 in January 2024 for stomach/flank liposuction and breast fat transfer, according to the patient-reported price packet checked October 16, 2026. That is one unitemized personal report, not a verified invoice or posted practice fee. Patient-reported prices remain outside every practice-price spread and cannot establish what people typically pay.

Patient-reported amounts, never practice-price evidence

Patient-reported · San Francisco Bay Area, CA · 2024

$10,000. patient-reported paid; stomach/flank liposuction and breast fat transfer. January 2024 explicitly stated. No invoice/itemization; not a posted practice fee.

Patient-reported · Charlotte, NC · 2024

$12,800. patient-reported paid; first graft round; ancillary grafting in series. April 2024 stated. Repeated diary R21/R28/R30; other post recalls 12900 instead.

Patient-reported · Charlotte, NC · 2024

$9,800. patient-reported paid; second graft round; ancillary grafting in series. August 2024 stated. Repeated diary, not a second independent patient.

Patient-reported · Charlotte (linked diary), NC · not stated

$12,900. patient-reported paid; first graft round in linked repeated diary. Conflicts with 12800 in R25/R30. Preserve discrepancy; do not add, average or silently correct.

Patient-reported · Charlotte (linked diary), NC · not stated

$9,800. patient-reported paid; second round in linked repeated diary. Repeated R25 second-round amount; duplicate report explicitly retained for verification.

Patient-reported · Charlotte, NC · not stated

$800. patient-reported ancillary expense; overnight nurse per round when traveling alone. Same repeated diary; the source says paid each time. Do not multiply into a new invoice or add twice to other totals without verification.

Patient-reported · Charlotte (series W01), NC · 2020 inferred; not explicit in price sentence

$11,395. patient-reported paid; breast transfer and donor harvest in blog series. Surgery in February and pandemic chronology support inferred year; not an explicit dated invoice. Same diary W01-W04.

Seven selected observations in the October 16, 2026 packet. Several repeat one Charlotte diary; seven observations do not mean seven patients. Amounts have no independent invoice verification.

It reports first and second graft rounds in 2024, with another linked post recalling a different first-round amount. The figure retains the disagreement rather than repairing it. Repeated posts about those rounds do not become additional patients or additional paid operations. The separately reported overnight nurse charge is an ancillary expense, not another surgery fee, and its year is not stated. The independent blog price is also labelled with its inferred year. The chronology supports 2020, but the price sentence itself does not expressly date an invoice. Use these accounts to identify questions about harvest areas, repeated treatment and help after surgery. They do not validate a price promise, retention claim or borrowing plan. The broader voices packet contains no verified US fat-transfer loan agreement, repayment history or graft-retention warranty outcome. Its source counts are counts of sources, and the patient-research coverage remains incomplete. No outcome frequency or national cost average follows from it.

What extra costs should I budget for fat-transfer breast augmentation?

ASPS lists tests, prescriptions and garments among possible breast augmentation costs, while Shermak explicitly excludes medications and preoperative evaluation/testing from its breast fat-transfer surgery prices; these sources were checked October 16, 2026. Their two inclusion statements do not establish a standard allowance. Your personal budget also needs the transport and first-night support ASPS asks outpatient augmentation patients to arrange.

A surgery fee and your personal budget

Tests and medicines

Shermak’s surgery-cost page excludes medications and medical preoperative evaluation/testing. ASPS separately lists tests and prescriptions as possible costs.

Garments and follow-up

John Burns names recovery compression garments in his package. Gandolfi’s price sheet excludes garments and postoperative massages. Neither page establishes another practice’s policy.

Transport, help and time away

ASPS asks outpatient augmentation patients to arrange transport and someone for at least the first night. Ask your surgeon what your combined harvest and breast procedure requires.

Deposits and cancellation

Colorado Plastic Surgery Center’s fee page asks for a 20% deposit of the quoted surgical cost. Chicago Breast & Body’s price page says quotes are valid for up to 90 days. Confirm the policy on your own dated quote.

ASPS education and practice-specific quote terms, read October 16, 2026; no invented allowance for travel, wages or supplies.

Separate the clinic’s written charges from your own time away, travel and help at home. The verified packet supplies no universal dollar amount for those needs. Ask about the demands of both the breast and donor-site recovery before you decide how much leave or assistance to arrange. Garments are another line to check directly. John Burns names compression garments in his package; Gandolfi excludes them on its surgeon-fee sheet. Ask which garments are supplied, who gives the wearing instructions and whether replacements cost extra. The recovery guide explains the different breast and donor-site protocols without turning one practice’s instructions into a universal schedule. Colorado Plastic Surgery Center asks for a 20% deposit; Chicago Breast & Body says quotes are valid for up to 90 days. A deposit may form part of the quoted price, so record how it is applied instead of automatically adding it to the total. Finally ask who pays for an unplanned assessment or treatment after surgery.

Ask your surgeon

“Which costs outside surgery, including tests, garments, help, deposits and unplanned care, should my own budget cover?”

What should I ask about a fat-transfer breast augmentation quote?

ASPS recommends asking how complications are handled and what recovery help breast augmentation requires, and its consultation guidance asks about prior surgery and breast imaging; these three education pages were checked October 16, 2026. For a fat-transfer quote, put those care questions beside the exact harvest, grafting and fee scope. The worksheet keeps missing information visible while you compare written proposals.

Record the exact operation and each fee. This worksheet stays in this browser.

Fill in the operation before the total. Name the donor areas, whether implants are being placed or removed, whether a lift is included and whether this is the first or an additional session. Then mark the surgeon, processing, injection, anesthesia, facility, garments and visits. If the quote omits a line, ask for an answer rather than treating silence as inclusion. Record which charges are estimates and when the quote expires. ASPS distinguishes the surgical facility’s status from the surgeon’s certification. Ask for the exact board and the facility where your procedure would happen. A generic sentence advising readers to choose a board-certified surgeon does not verify the clinician attached to an advertised price. Review realistic expectations and before-and-after photographs with the surgeon. The existing photo collection can help you prepare, but photographs cannot identify a representative result probability or tell you how many sessions your plan needs. Discuss prior mammograms, biopsies, implants and operations during consultation. Keep the final dated proposal with your consent and payment terms before you book.

Ask your surgeon

“Will you give me a dated, itemized plan that states every included operation, fee, follow-up term and later-session policy?”

How we researched breast fat-transfer costs

We used the verified research packet checked October 16, 2026: corrected clinical claims, retained practice fees, published benchmarks, payer wording, lender findings and separately labelled patient accounts.

Practice advertisements, by surgical scope

The packet retains 118 KEEP/FIX price rows. We show selected nonduplicate examples, all seven Utah-related rows and all retained composite, after-explant, additional-session and unclear-technique examples. Fat only, named or counted harvest areas, composite surgery, after explant and additional sessions never share a spread. Conflicting same-practice pages appear together. Original corrected locations, exclusions and open floors stay attached to the amounts.

Starting-point method and benchmark limits

39 eligible fat-only practice websites contribute one lowest figure apiece to the starting-point summary; nearest-rank quartiles use the sorted values. Market descriptions, patient reports, duplicates and other surgical scopes are excluded. This is a summary of advertisements, not representative bills. ASPS has no statistics year on its cost page; the Aesthetic Society’s 2022 fee-basis disagreement is retained; CareCredit is a lender-published benchmark.

Patient voices, videos and financing

Patient reports are paraphrased, with city, year or missing-year flags, scope and repeated-diary limits. The voices corpus is incomplete, with no fully certified complete Reddit discussions. Two KEEP videos fit cost and funding, but play only after a Mux upload exists. No numeric price or executed loan comes from them. Loan examples are hypothetical amortization, tested to cents; saved-page-only Alphaeon terms are not presented as current offers.

Prices and lender terms can change. The packet supplies no universal second-session fee or Utah-plan entitlement. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee.
