How much does a chin implant cost in 2026?

For chin implant cost, the middle half of practices’ own posted implant-alone starting points falls from $4,500 to $7,000, across 47 implant-only practice websites checked October 16, 2026. These nearest-rank quartiles use one lowest own-fee figure per practice website, including starts and range lows; they are not complete chin augmentation bills. Across 50 retained own-fee implant-alone observations, the full recorded spread runs from Mia Aesthetics (multi-city chain)’s starting at $2,500 to MD Art (Artur Fahradyan)’s custom implant starting at $12,500. The latter is a starting floor, not a maximum patient bill. ASPS’s facial-implant cost page says “average cost of a chin implant (mentoplasty) is $3,641”; no statistics year or patient sample size is printed with that figure, and anesthesia, operating-room facilities and related expenses are excluded. The Aesthetic Society’s 2022 report prints “Chin Augmentation $2,554 12%” under “Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon Fees: Surgical,” where the percentage describes change, using a method based on 200 participating practices, not an implant-material-specific all-in price. Posted prices aren’t a typical price, a national survey or a promise of what you’ll pay.

Practices’ own implant-alone prices

50 observations checked October 16, 2026. Starts have no ceiling; fee bases differ.

Use the middle-half band to understand the posted starting points before calling practices. It does not mean that half of patients received a complete operation inside that band. Multiple statements from the same website contribute only its lowest eligible starting point to the quartiles. Fee bases differ. A custom implant floor at the high end also cannot tell you the premium for customization, because it is a different practice and case description.

Why do chin implant and chin augmentation quotes differ?

ASPS describes chin augmentation with an implant and chin reshaping with the jaw’s own bone as different operations, so a chin implant budget needs the method named on the quote. Of 130 retained, nonduplicate price observations checked October 16, 2026, 43 do not establish an implant-only technique. Those observations stay in the separate chart below. “Genioplasty” can be used broadly in patient education; the operation description matters more than the label. A line for chin and cheek implants, an implant-or-bone range or a shared augmentation price cannot establish what a standalone chin implant costs.

Keep the operation on the quote

Implant alone

A device adds projection over the chin bone. Use only explicitly implant-alone fees for the opening comparison.

An unspecified chin augmentation line

A page may include implant, bone work, fat or another operation under one label. Keep that fee apart until the practice defines it.

Technique not stated: these do not price implant alone

43 observations checked October 16, 2026. Starts have no ceiling; fee bases differ.

Start with the change you want and the structure the surgeon proposes to change. Ask whether a standard implant, a modified implant or an implant manufactured for your anatomy is proposed. The written plan should also identify any nose, neck, cheek or jaw work. If bite or jaw function is a concern, ASPS describes a separate evaluation for chewing and tooth fit. That referral does not establish that a cosmetic implant is medically necessary or covered.

Ask your surgeon

“Does this chin augmentation quote place an implant, move bone or include another operation?”

What should a chin implant surgery quote include?

ASPS lists surgeon fees, anesthesia, facilities, tests, garments and prescriptions as possible chin surgery costs, but each practice must say which of those its chin implant price includes. The verified quote-component set contains 18 inclusion or exclusion observations checked October 16, 2026; it does not establish a universal package. Add the implant itself to your checklist. A practice can include surgeon, anesthesia and room fees while still adding a device charge, and a page that says fees “may include” an item has not confirmed that item for you.

ASPS cost components and practice inclusion statements checked October 16, 2026. Mark unknown items before comparing totals.

Use the worksheet to compare included, extra and unlisted items before comparing totals. Ask who sends each bill and what happens if surgical time changes. An implant charge may be separate even when the page uses broad package language. Eisemann’s retained price line adds an implant charge and other fees; Y Plastic’s chin line says plus implant despite a global implants-included statement. CAPS uses conflicting surgeon-fee and total-cost labels while explicitly excluding facility, anesthesia and follow-up. Those limitations remain visible on the implant chart. Request an itemized correction rather than choosing the most reassuring sentence on a website. Also ask whether consultation payments are credited, whether testing occurs through another provider and which postoperative appointments are included. Medication, supplies, time away from paid work and help at home belong in your personal budget even when the surgical estimate is complete.

Ask your surgeon

“Can you mark surgeon, implant, anesthesia, facility, tests and aftercare as included, extra or unlisted?”

Does local anesthesia make a chin implant cheaper than general anesthesia?

Seattle Plastic Surgery’s schedule for Santos posts a chin implant at $4,500 with local anesthesia and $4,995 with general anesthesia, checked October 16, 2026, but those two discounted estimates do not establish a national anesthesia surcharge. Both rows describe upfront-check pricing and nonbinding estimates. Across the six practice observations below, anesthesia and fee inclusions differ. ASPS says the physician selects among local anesthesia, intravenous sedation and general anesthesia; price alone does not determine which is suitable for you.

Anesthesia as stated by each practice

6 observations checked October 16, 2026. Starts have no ceiling; fee bases differ.

Weber Facial Plastic Surgery describes its in-office local-and-oral-medication starting fee, while Bustillo describes a local-anesthesia standalone operation with surgical, anesthesia and visit charges named. Neither establishes every possible charge merely by describing the setting. DiBello’s general-anesthesia estimate explicitly names implant, hospital or surgery center, anesthesia and pre-admission testing; another practice may leave those unlisted. “Awake” does not tell you whether oral medication, IV medication or other services are billed. An unspecified sedative cannot be called oral sedation. Ask who administers and monitors the anesthesia, where the operation takes place and what would trigger a change of plan. Comparing different practices’ prices cannot isolate the financial effect of anesthesia, even when one advertises an office procedure and the other a surgery center.

Ask your surgeon

“Which anesthesia plan is appropriate for me, and what does each feasible plan change in my written quote?”

Compare locations

How do chin implant prices vary by city?

ASPS says chin surgery fees vary with experience, procedure type and geographic location, while the 29 retained implant-alone market descriptions checked October 16, 2026 describe areas rather than the practices’ own fees. The chart below labels those descriptions separately. The implant-alone chart above identifies each practice and location, including Los Angeles, Miami, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia and Salt Lake City. Neither chart ranks cities or establishes a representative metro average.

Practices describing market prices, not their own fees

29 observations checked October 16, 2026. Starts have no ceiling; fee bases differ.

A city comparison needs the same procedure and fee basis on both sides. A large metropolitan range may describe what a practice says happens in its area, while an adjacent line gives its own starting fee. Those are different claims. A national chain’s starting price also cannot be assigned to one branch just because the ledger groups it under that metro. Mia’s chain-wide floor stays labeled that way. When you contact an office, confirm the operating location, named surgeon, payment method and current inclusions rather than assuming the price applies at every branch. Travel can create a separate budget for transport, accommodation, an adult helper and return visits. Ask how complications or wound concerns are handled after you return home. We have not estimated travel costs, adjusted old figures for inflation or filled an unpriced city with another city’s range.

Ask your surgeon

“Does this fee apply to this surgeon and operating location, and where will I receive follow-up?”

How much does a chin implant cost in Utah?

Mobley MD in Salt Lake City posts approximately $5,500 and up for a chin implant, the only own-fee practice among the 3 retained Utah surgical-price rows checked October 16, 2026. Utah Facial Plastics and Aspen each describe a $3,000 to $6,000 Utah market range, not their own fees. Mobley’s starting figure does not clearly include every facility and anesthesia charge; its page says those charges vary with time. These observations cannot establish a statewide typical bill.

Keep the practice geography accurate when requesting quotes. Utah Facial Plastics lists Draper, Layton and Heber City offices, with Salt Lake City also used as a service heading. Aspen’s addresses are in Riverton and Midvale. A consultation should identify where your surgery would happen and which costs are payable to another provider. The Utah filler comparison later in this guide is nonsurgical and cannot fill the missing implant-price observations. If coverage is part of your question, Select Health’s public portal did not establish a chin-specific policy in this research. Regence’s general reconstructive criteria are conditional and do not authorize cosmetic chin surgery. Obtain benefit information for your actual indication and member contract.

How much does a chin implant cost with rhinoplasty?

Dr Newman Beverly Hills posts a $2,000 to $3,000 chin implant add-on to rhinoplasty, one of 2 retained observations in that separate scope checked October 16, 2026, and it is not the full combined surgery price. The page’s standalone implant statements also conflict, and its domain affiliation was not independently authenticated in the price recheck. The other retained component must likewise be read as a component, not a complete nose-and-chin package.

Chin components when rhinoplasty is planned

2 observations checked October 16, 2026. Starts have no ceiling; fee bases differ.

ASPS explains why chin size can change how large the nose appears, but that observation does not mean you need both operations. Ask what each operation is meant to change in your case before requesting a combined total. A reduced implant component may leave shared facility and anesthesia charges elsewhere in the rhinoplasty quote. Adding the component to a standalone estimate that already includes those shared services can double-count them. Conversely, a component alone can omit most of the bill. Ask for a combined written quote with every biller, then a separate implant-alone quote if that is an actual option for you. The practice-published Lam account concerns both rhinoplasty and a chin implant and provides no itemized fee; the patient’s reported profile change cannot be assigned to the implant alone.

Ask your surgeon

“What is the complete rhinoplasty-and-chin total, and which shared fees are already included?”

How much does a chin implant with neck liposuction cost?

Afters’ verified practice-price set contains zero own-fee chin implant-plus-neck-liposuction packages as of October 16, 2026, so it cannot supply a posted combination range. ASPS’s description of chin implantation does not price fat removal or a neck lift. A combined bill needs its own operation list and inclusions. A patient who reports implant surgery with neck work has not supplied a current practice fee for the same plan.

A combined neck plan needs its own itemization

Implant

Adds chin projection. Ask for its device and surgical line.

Neck liposuction

Addresses fat. No verified own-fee implant-plus-neck-liposuction package survived this price set.

Neck lift

A separate operation. A patient’s combined neck-lift bill cannot price an implant with liposuction.

Added recovery costs

Ask about local follow-up, accommodation and help at home for the combined operation.

Ask the surgeon to distinguish added chin projection, removal of fat and any neck-lift operation. The words jawline or neck contouring do not identify which structures are treated. The absence of a verified package in this set is an evidence gap, not proof that the combination is unavailable. Do not add an implant starting point to an unrelated liposuction market estimate and call that a quote. Shared operating time, anesthesia and facility billing need the practice’s own explanation. The cost video in this guide describes a neck lift and an implant performed awake, with travel and accommodation excluded. It cannot price an implant plus liposuction alone. If the consultation changes from liposuction to a larger neck operation, request an updated total and recovery plan before considering financing.

Ask your surgeon

“Does my neck plan include liposuction, a neck lift or both, and what is the total for that exact combination?”

Is chin filler cheaper than a chin implant?

Tina Ho posts chin filler starting at $800 per syringe, Northwest Face & Body lists chin filler at $550 without a stated unit, and Beauty Lab + Laser lists “Single” at $850, three separate comparisons checked October 16, 2026 that do not establish a break-even against a chin implant. Beauty Lab’s locations are Murray and Riverton, Utah; its row does not state a dose or syringe count. A per-syringe fee, a single-treatment label and an implant operation are different units.

Ask for the proposed product, amount and total visit cost before comparing spending. Tina Ho’s page says more than one syringe may be needed; the price per syringe is not a complete chin-treatment quote. The verified sources do not establish how often you personally would repeat treatment, how much you would use later or whether an implant would achieve the same change. We therefore calculate no treatment-count break-even. FDA-hosted Voluma XC labeling describes chin profile augmentation in adults older than twenty-one; Defyne labeling specifies mild to moderate chin retrusion in patients older than twenty-one. Filler also has risks and recovery costs. The FDA Voluma trial documents treatment-related cellulitis and inflammation in one of 182 treated participants in 2020, with hospitalization for cellulitis. Its events resolved in 36 and 153 days, respectively; this is a trial observation, not a national rate. Do not budget on a promise of recovery in hours. Defyne’s 2021 patient label and physician/SSED tables also differ: patient tenderness, pain and swelling counts of 90, 72 and 78 of 125 match tolerable categories, while physician/SSED totals are 112, 92 and 92 of 125. Those labels describe the same trial, not independent evidence.

Ask your surgeon

“What product, amount, repeat-treatment assumptions and risk plan underlie my filler estimate?”

How does sliding genioplasty cost compare with a chin implant?

Austin Plastic Surgeon posts $12,000 to $14,000 for genioplasty with osteotomy, the only own-fee row among 5 retained bone-comparison observations checked October 16, 2026; it is not a chin implant fee. Cleveland Clinic describes sliding genioplasty as cutting and moving the chin bone and securing it with plates and screws. The other bone prices below are sources’ broader market descriptions and remain labeled that way.

Bone genioplasty comparisons, never implant-alone prices

5 observations checked October 16, 2026. Starts have no ceiling; fee bases differ.

The drawing separates an implant placed over bone, repositioned bone and injected filler. It does not show interchangeable results or a preferred procedure. A bone-surgery quote should identify hardware, surgeon, anesthesia, facility, imaging and follow-up rather than assuming the implant checklist covers everything unchanged. Barrera’s general sliding-genioplasty range names hardware, anesthesia, facility and surgeon components, but that broad description cannot establish another practice’s own fee. Do not subtract one practice’s implant price from a different practice’s bone-surgery range and call the result the cost of choosing bone. The operations may address different goals, and the available rows differ in inclusions. ASPS describes chewing and tooth-fit concerns as reasons for jaw evaluation; a cosmetic chin procedure should not be sold as correction of a bite problem on the basis of these cost pages.

Ask your surgeon

“Why does my anatomy call for an implant or bone movement, and what does the appropriate operation’s quote include?”

Plan for uncertainty

How much do chin implant revision and removal cost?

Portland Facial Plastic Surgery posts chin implant removal at $3,500 for surgeon and operating room, one nonduplicate own-fee removal observation checked October 16, 2026, with anesthesia not expressly included. Its sister Seattle schedule repeats the same figure and is counted once. This removal price does not establish the cost of replacing an implant, treating a complication or performing sliding genioplasty after removal.

Removal has a separate fee basis

1 observations checked October 16, 2026. Starts have no ceiling; fee bases differ.

Ask whether a proposed revision means removing the existing device, repositioning it, replacing it or adding another operation. A simple removal schedule cannot price all those possibilities. ASPS says most health plans do not cover facial implant surgery, related complications or another operation to revise appearance, so do not rely on insurance to close a missing revision budget. The patient-source research did not establish an enforceable revision warranty or a complete itemized removal bill showing responsibility for every charge. Ask the practice to distinguish a waived surgeon fee from anesthesia, facility, implant, imaging, prescriptions and visits that may still be billed. If you are seeking removal now, the consultation should assess your symptoms and goals before quoting the operation; this price chart cannot diagnose the reason for a problem or predict the contour after explantation.

Ask your surgeon

“If I need removal or revision, which fees could be waived and which would I still owe in writing?”

Does insurance cover a chin implant?

Aetna lists chin implant surgery under cosmetic procedures in CPB 0031, last reviewed June 25, 2026, and ASPS says most plans will not cover facial implant surgery, related complications or another appearance revision. Aetna’s orthognathic policy, last reviewed March 18, 2026, treats isolated chin surgery for specified appearance concerns as cosmetic; covered jaw treatment cannot be transferred to a cosmetic addition.

Medicare’s general page says, “Medicare usually doesn’t cover cosmetic surgery unless you need it because of accidental injury or to improve the function of a malformed body part.” Regence’s general reconstructive policy, effective September 1, 2026 and reviewed July 2026, says, “If the intervention is intended to treat a functional impairment and if no other contract exclusions apply, it may be considered medically necessary.” Those are conditional statements, not chin-specific authorizations. Ask the payer about the diagnosed indication, proposed procedure and your benefit contract before making a financial commitment. A reconstructive evaluation after injury or another medical condition is different from a request for cosmetic projection. Select Health’s public policy portal did not establish a chin-specific rule in this set; that gap proves neither coverage nor exclusion. If your treatment includes a medically necessary procedure and a cosmetic addition, ask for separate responsibility estimates. Also ask how your plan treats complication care and later appearance revision rather than assuming an exception includes both.

60 months · 20.90% APR

$6,000 borrowed; $161.98 monthly; $9,718.97 total payments; $3,718.97 financing cost. Standard amortization, not an offer or the issuer’s billing schedule. Terms checked October 16, 2026.

The longer 60-month illustration uses 20.90% APR: $161.98 monthly and $9,718.97 overall, including $3,718.97 in financing cost. Monthly figures and totals round independently from the unrounded calculation, so displayed cents multiplied by the term need not equal the displayed total. The longer term lowers the monthly figure while increasing total repayment in these examples. Keep the procedure quote, any deposit, amount financed and recovery budget separate. Deferred-interest promotions are another product: CareCredit and Alphaeon disclosures say interest can be charged from the purchase date if the promotional balance is not paid in full under the terms. Minimum payments may not clear that balance in time. Qualifying Cherry zero-APR offers are distinct from deferred interest and are not available to everyone. PatientFi’s advertised rate floor assumes excellent credit and monthly autopay; its promotional waiver conditions also need separate reading. Read the shared financing guide before comparing an actual offer’s APR, total payments, fees and promotional payoff conditions.

Ask your surgeon

“What are the APR, total payments, fees and exact payoff conditions for the offer I would actually sign?”

Leave with a written plan

What aftercare and questions belong in my chin implant budget?

ASPS says an inside-mouth chin implant incision may require a liquid diet or special mouth rinses, and its implant overview describes return to work usually within a week, patient education checked October 16, 2026 rather than a measured recovery distribution. Budget for the follow-up plan and your job’s demands instead of treating that one-week description as personal clearance. The two incision routes in the drawing identify different care questions; the evidence does not establish that one route costs less.

Ask what follow-up the fee buys

Inside the lower lip

ASPS describes possible liquid diet and mouth-rinse instructions. Ask whether prescribed rinses and follow-up are included.

Under the chin

Ask about wound checks, dressings, suture care and the contact for a new problem.

Time away from work

ASPS describes return usually within a week after implant augmentation. This education is not a measured patient distribution or clearance for your job.

Written policy

Identify the after-hours contact, follow-up locations, cancellation terms and who bills if another operation is needed.

Ask the practice to write down which visits, dressings, prescriptions and mouth-care supplies are included and which you obtain separately. Confirm the person you contact after hours and whether a concern requires an in-person visit at the operating practice. Ask what support you need at home, when your particular work is feasible and how a combined operation changes those plans. Those details determine your leave and practical budget without inventing a fixed recovery allowance. Review comparable chin implant before-and-after photographs with the complete operation list, including any nose or neck work, and discuss frontal shape as well as profile. Then return to the itemized quote: named surgeon, device, anesthesia, facility, tests, aftercare and later-surgery policy. Ask how long the quote is valid and how cancellation or rescheduling affects payments. For clinical recovery milestones and warning signs, use the recovery guide and your surgical team’s instructions.

Ask your surgeon

“Can you give me the aftercare, contact, time-off and cancellation plan alongside the itemized quote?”

How we read chin implant prices

Practice pages, society benchmarks, payer policies and lender disclosures were checked October 16, 2026. Posted prices describe offers or estimates, not representative patient spending.

One scope at a time

130 retained price observations after three duplicate schedules are counted once. Implant alone, rhinoplasty components, bone surgery, removal and unspecified augmentation remain separate. No own-price neck-liposuction bundle survived.

A starting-point distribution

One lowest eligible implant-alone figure per practice website supplies 47 observations. Nearest-rank quartiles use the observation at the rounded-up quarter and three-quarter ranks. Starts and range lows do not describe complete bills.

Limits of the evidence

Most pages do not date their current price content. An access date does not prove a fee was updated then. Market wording, contradictory inclusions and custom-device scope remain visible. Credential text is not an independent current-board registry audit.

Patient accounts and financing

Patient-reported amounts keep their city, year and operation. Voices research remains incomplete for full-thread and native-search coverage. Standard loan calculations are illustrations; final card payments and billing rules differ. Videos appear only after a playback asset is supplied.
