“People are nice and office is clean. I had a traumatic experience with the replacement of a tooth. The periodontist side was done by a different office and was a horrible experience. I was then sent to Cotton Creek Dental for the crown. There were 2 or 3 times information was miscommunicated. I ended up with a plastic retainer and no tooth a few weeks before my daughter’s wedding. The original plan to have a mold of an actual tooth failed the first time I removed the retainer. The temporary tooth popped out of the retainer and the assistant said, “Well that’s not going to work.” I needed to leave as I had a movie reservation and they told me to come back afterward. They painted the area of the missing tooth with something to make it appear white. The gaps around the “tooth” were black and made the tooth look rotten. I was mortified. I also had to remove the retainer in order to eat, which left the gap of no tooth. Very inconvenient when traveling and at a wedding reception with new family I’ve never met before. They didn’t tell me how important it was to brush after eating and drinking (because sugar gets trapped in the tray and will rot your teeth) I just knew because my daughter had done Invisaline. I asked and they were able to expedite the crown and get it done before I left for the wedding. I was so relieved! Dr Brown did the crown part and he was pretty hurried both times. Not very personable. I was told by Dr Jennings during my cleaning last week that they could place the tooth for the wedding and if the color needed adjusted we could do that when I got back. Dr Jennings listened to my experience and showed a lot of care, but apparently gave me misinformation. When I went in yesterday to have the crown placed the color looked weird. (I was tired as I work nights and hadn’t slept yet when they asked me to come in early.) I told the assistant it looked weird. She told me it was probably because it was hollow and hadn’t been set yet. The tooth is gray. Dr Brown and his assistant came in and said once they placed the tooth that they wouldn’t be doing any color adjustments, but that the tooth looked great and matched everything perfectly once it was set. The assistant had taken the mirror away at this point and they both kept repeating how well it matched. I literally feel like they gaslit me. Dr Brown said they were happy to get me across the finish line and sent me on my way. My tooth is gray. ETA: 7/27/26 The office did reach out to me and said they were sorry about my experience and understood my frustration. They also said Dr Brown wanted to do a color consult for no charge and to talk about how to proceed. I rejected the offer because 1) Dr Brown had told me once they set the tooth that it was permanent and that meant that there would be no color changes. In which case he had lied to me. 2) Dr Brown told me over and over again that the color matched perfectly before I left the office, which meant that he either didn’t notice the gray color, or again he lied to me. 3) Dr Brown had every chance to do the right thing the first time around and yet chose to send me on my way. I feel the only reason he wanted to fix it was that I wrote a review. Be warned about who you let work on your teeth. I will either have to go somewhere else to fix this, or live with it for the rest of my life. And I paid good money to have a discolored tooth permanently fixed in my mouth. 8/7 ETA: I have been out of town but did communicate with Dr Brown. While he did accuse me of “distortion and mischaracterization” of the narrative and photo, he did offer to have a shade matching meeting, or a “full refund of my payment.” I requested the full refund. When I got back into town I had received a check for my out of pocket expense.”
