Velux Dental’s Salt Lake City office, formerly SLC Dental, is a general and cosmetic dental practice with three dentists: Dr. Robert Palmer, Dr. TJ Allred and Dr. Josh Sharp. Services include dental implants, including all-on-4 and all-on-6, cosmetic smile design, veneers, crowns and bridges, clear aligners, root canals and gum disease treatment, with an in-house dental lab and same-day CEREC crowns. The office is open Monday to Friday, 7 am to 7 pm. It accepts Select Health, Cigna, MetLife, United Healthcare and other insurance plans, and offers financing through CareCredit, Proceed, Cherry and Sunbit.

“I had an amazing experience at this dental office today! I came in with a broken tooth, and the team was able to take care of me right away by placing a crown. The doctor was incredibly professional, caring, and attentive throughout the entire process. The staff was also wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. I’m very happy with the quality of the work and the excellent customer service I received. “I've had a 5 tooth partial since 2001, and my front teeth have implants since HS. For the past 4 yrs, I investigated All on X, and 3 on 6. All 4 Utah providers I had consultations with, were awesome. AlI had excellent surgeons, using 3D Digital tech, some using Robotics with wonderful results.Overseas providers although in my fin wheelhouse, I don't trust. The Utah groups were untouchable though, as well. One great one was $65,500. Another was $46,000. 2 others took pity on me and offered $30,000.I had a long-awaited Dental Procedure today with Velux Dental also known as All-on-X. Never heard of them before. I told them on the phone that it was useless. Too expensive. For the wealthy. Seniors especially being excluded. Even with financing. Forced to Dentures.Melissa said just come in, and talk to the Dr. I grilled him about specifics as I had the others. Great answers like the others. Dr Palmer then said he would do both arches for $21,000 including 17 extractions, intravenous anesthesiology, the temp utilizing top 3d Digital Technology at all points, to utilize both full arrays with the temp at top grade PMMA to generate the lightest arrays and best materials, for best design and manufacture in their Lab. The Final Arrays, with full Prosthesises in top level Zirconia on site, shaped to my wishes, with my desired shade, and final polish. Lifetime Warranty. 1 yr cleaning to assure longevity, and keep a watchful eye on them. They offered nice, financing as well, If needed. This crew led by Dr Palmer, and 2 other great dentists, deserve not 5 Stars, but 17 Oversized Hearts to correspond with the care, loving, expertise, talent, and endless dedication; combining it all, with a wonderful leading, superb,progressive pursuit to lead the effort to push the cost of this crucial procedure to include so many patients, again, like retirees, others with no expendable income, etc., that simply have are pushed to dentures with no financial recourse .A Godsend. Go talk to them. I wish SLC had a 100 of them.”
“Dr. Allred did a last minute extraction on me and it was so easy. I left feeling confident about my treatment plan going forward and recovery has been easy. He even followed up the next day which was reassuring. Additionally, Mallory has done my cleanings - fantastic. And Courtney in the office is always so so helpful. Will always recommend this office!”
“I have been a patient of this dentist office since before it became Velux, and have been treated by all three of the dentists a two of the lovely hygienists (Mallory & Taylor). I have also been the recipient of at least six zirconia crowns, performed by Dr. Allred and Dr. Sharp. While I don’t particularly enjoy having dental work done, I do trust that these guys are committed to the longevity and health of my smile. A few of my crowns are toward the front of my mouth and visible in my smile, and I am surprised by how natural they look and sturdy they have always felt. As a minority woman myself, I also appreciate that in this office the technical staff is diverse, and I hope that continues to be the case. My husband and I both receive our dental care here and we are both pleased with their consistent and thoughtful work.”
