Laser skin resurfacing cost: How much does laser skin resurfacing cost?
Half of the 4 practices posting their own full-face “Fractional CO2” laser skin resurfacing prices have lowest posted figures between $999 and $1,500 (checked October 18, 2026; device model not stated). Because this exact-label sample has fewer than 30 practices, here is the separately labelled fallback: half of 6 practices posting full-face “CO2” without establishing fractional delivery have lowest figures between $2,000 and $5,995. These groups are not combined. The fractional-label full spread runs from Skin Anthology’s $999 to Boston Eyelids’ $4,000 surgeon fee; Oxygen Med Spa’s range reaches $2,500. The unspecified-delivery CO2 full spread runs from Maui MedSpa’s $850 to ImageLift’s $10,000. Posted prices aren’t a typical price. Non-ablative device examples stand separately: Baylor College of Medicine Dermatology posts Fraxel full face at $1,000 with model unstated; Washington Square Dermatology posts Clear + Brilliant full face at $600; Aesthetic Beauty Lounge posts Moxi face at $600. These are advertised units, not matched treatment plans or complete bills.

How much does laser skin resurfacing cost in 2026?
Skin Anthology, Geneva Med Spa, Boston Eyelids and Oxygen Med Spa’s lowest full-face “Fractional CO2” laser skin resurfacing figures have a middle half of $999 to $1,500, checked October 18, 2026.
Read the price before comparing it
We take the lowest eligible figure from each practice domain in an exact scope and device label, sort those figures and use nearest-rank quartiles. A practice advertising several prices contributes only its lowest eligible figure to that statistic. We do not estimate what its patients ultimately spend, how many people buy treatment or which price is common locally.
ASPS posts $1,829 for broad skin resurfacing and $697 for a separate laser-treatment category on an undated cost page checked October 18, 2026. Its 2023 fee table identifies the resurfacing figure as a surgeon/physician fee in a category that also includes dermabrasion, chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Neither figure prices a named laser course or the full bill.
The separately labelled six-practice CO2 fallback has a middle half of $2,000 to $5,995, without establishing fractional delivery. These are descriptive starting-point samples, not typical bills. The named-device examples below answer a different pricing question from ASPS’s broad resurfacing benchmark.

How much does fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing cost for the full face?
Fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing is posted at $999 by Skin Anthology and $4,000 for the surgeon fee by Boston Eyelids among four exact-label full-face practices checked October 18, 2026.
The other two are Geneva Med Spa at $1,500 and Oxygen Med Spa at approximately $1,200 to $2,500. Those four practice observations establish this labelled spread only. Named-device services below stand separately; the drawing explains why fractional and full-face answer different questions.

Read the fallback literally
The fallback is an area comparison among prices labelled CO2. The practice’s price sentence does not settle whether the entire surface is ablated or treatment is fractional. We preserve that uncertainty rather than infer the mode from the amount, recovery description or use of anesthesia. A large price difference is a reason to ask for the written scope, not proof of a deeper or better treatment.
Seattle Plastic Surgery’s $5,995 full-face CO2 line explicitly includes surgeon, anesthesia and operating-room fees. The Gallery of Cosmetic Surgery posts a $4,675 full-face starting price without establishing that same fee basis. Both belong to the separately labelled CO2 fallback, but one is an open floor and the other names major inclusions. They are not interchangeable quotes.
This is a separately labelled small-sample fallback, not an expanded fractional sample. No other device or scope enters its quartiles. The full-face label establishes an area, while full-field versus fractional delivery remains unresolved in the price wording.
“Does this CO2 quote mean fractional delivery or full-surface ablation, and where is that written?”

How much does Fraxel laser skin resurfacing cost per session?
Fraxel laser skin resurfacing is posted at $1,000 for full face by Baylor College of Medicine Dermatology, with the exact model unstated, in the menu checked October 18, 2026.
That is one practice observation, not a Fraxel average. Our selected five posted lines below preserve their own device labels, areas, floors and session units. ASLMS’s 2025 explanation says lighter nonablative treatment often needs a series, so a session fee alone leaves the course budget open.

Separate device offers
Aesthetic Beauty Lounge posts Moxi face at $600 and Halo face at $1,450 on the same menu. Those prices do not measure equivalent treatments or establish that the difference buys a particular amount of improvement. HALO is a hybrid treatment, with both ablative and nonablative components, even though the research’s broad price bucket groups some hybrid rows beside nonablative services.
Clear + Brilliant, Clear + Brilliant Touch and LaseMD Ultra have separate figures here. The page’s label is preserved rather than normalized into a blended price. An area-unstated price is not relabelled full face. Ask whether the proposed face boundary includes the jawline, eyelids or neck and whether preparation, required products and follow-up sit inside that session fee.
Those are two device-specific practice observations, not one pooled nonablative price. HALO prices are shown separately as hybrid offers. The five selected lines below preserve area and unit uncertainty rather than filling it from a device name.
“Why does this particular device fit my concern, and what total course are you pricing?”

A smaller unit changes the arithmetic
Desert Sands Aesthetics & Laser posts Ellipse Frax 1550 scar resurfacing at $95 for the first square inch and $25 for each additional square inch. The additional-inch amount is an add-on after the first area, not a full-face price or a standalone scar visit. Ask how the practice measures the area and whether assessment or minimum-visit charges apply before using that arithmetic.
These are three menu observations at one practice, not a national erbium range. Scar-square-inch, eye-area and deeper erbium services use different units. A price for an additional square inch does not describe a complete visit.
“How do you define and measure each treated area, including any minimum visit charge?”

What does a laser skin resurfacing price include and leave out?
Geneva Med Spa includes consultation, aftercare products and follow-up review in its $1,500 full-face fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing session, checked October 18, 2026.
That is one practice’s stated partial bundle. Alinea separately names numbing cream; ASPS’s general quote checklist includes facility, anesthesia, prescriptions and tests. None of those statements establishes that every practice includes the same care or that any one offer covers every bill.

Is a laser skin resurfacing package cheaper than paying per session?

Arithmetic on the posted units, not new offers
Before prepaying
Aesthetic Beauty Lounge’s Moxi face lines show $600 for one and $1,620 for three. Its Halo menu separately prints $1,450 for one and $3,950 for three while a heading describes a percentage discount that does not reproduce that total. We retain the printed Halo amount and flag the mismatch. Ask the practice which written total it will honor before calculating a saving.
A planned course is not a promise that every session will be appropriate after the first response. Before prepaying, request the expiration, cancellation, transfer and refund terms and the point when the clinician reassesses your skin. The research does not establish a shared package-refund policy. Do not turn a lower unit price into a commitment to more treatment than the clinician has actually recommended.
That calculation is a same-menu scenario, not evidence of equal outcomes or current package eligibility. FABrx Studio’s three-treatment amount is explicitly per session. Ask what happens to prepaid sessions if the plan changes after the first visit.
“What is the complete package total, and what are the expiration and unused-session refund terms?”

The fee may require another commitment
Skin Spot Laser Club lists CoolPeel CO2 face at $950 for a non-member and $665 for a member. The member treatment fee alone does not establish the cost of joining or maintaining membership. Ask for required dues, term, cancellation conditions and the treatment entitlement. Compare the total you would actually owe over the membership period before deciding that the lower displayed treatment amount saves money.
Those two treatment lines do not establish the membership’s total cost. Introductory and limited-time offers below also retain their conditions. A buy-one-get-one offer with area unstated cannot be compared with a regular full-face price as if both were unconditional.
“What dues, eligibility rules and future commitments must I pay to receive this advertised treatment price?”

How do laser skin resurfacing prices compare by city?
Full-face Fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing is posted at $1,500 in Frisco by Geneva Med Spa and $999 in Los Angeles by Skin Anthology, two individual practice observations checked October 18, 2026.
Four locations, four exact-label Fractional CO2 offers
A location is not a market estimate
If you consider treatment elsewhere in the US, ask how many visits require you to be nearby, who handles an urgent question after you return home and whether remote follow-up is included. Price transport, lodging and missed work using your own arrangements. We do not invent travel allowances or subtract one city’s advertised fee from another’s to claim a saving on unmatched treatment.
Wellesley and Orland Park contribute separate offers with different fee bases and bounds. The additional device-specific city examples do not form metropolitan ranges. ASPS identifies geography among fee drivers, but these sparse advertisements cannot isolate geography’s effect.
“Can you compare my local treatment plan with this other city’s offer using the same device, area, visits and fee inclusions?”

Keep Utah scopes separate
John Bitner’s Layton laser resurfacing range is $3,500 to $4,400 for the surgeon fee only, with device and area unstated. Its page separately describes facility supplies and time-based sedation charges. That range must not be presented as Utah fractional CO2 full face or as the total due. Ask for the current combined quote rather than adding general allowances to an amount that still lacks scope.
St. George Med Spa posts MOXI at $700 with area and session unit unstated, and a $1,000 BBL Hero plus MOXI fusion as a separate combined service. Desert Sands’ scar-square-inch lines are narrower units. Inspire’s South Jordan HALO range and Royale’s Ogden CO2 range describe market pricing rather than established own fees. Those lines stay labelled and never enter our practice-price statistics.
The 17 retained Utah observations below include own fees and separately labelled market descriptions. They cannot produce a Utah average: area menus, MOXI, a combination, a promotion and scar-square-inch units answer different questions. Current posted rows do not revive excluded historical fee schedules.
“Which of these Utah price units matches my actual device, treatment area and complete bill?”
Planning
Is laser skin resurfacing worth the cost once recovery and repeat sessions are included?
Laser skin resurfacing needs a course-and-recovery budget because ASLMS’s November 12, 2025 explanation says lighter nonablative treatment often requires a series, while aggressive ablative treatment can show results after one treatment.
That is educational guidance, not a comparison of equal results or a required session count. ASPS’s general CO2 recovery reference is up to two weeks, distinct from pinkness that can last months. Your clinician’s proposed intensity, goals and follow-up determine what belongs in your own budget.
“What improvement will we assess before another session, and what recovery responsibilities should I budget around?”
Paying
Does insurance cover laser skin resurfacing for scars?
Aetna’s CPB 0427, reviewed July 8, 2026, describes a narrow fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing exception for hypertrophic burn, traumatic and surgical scars after conventional therapy fails, subject to benefit terms.
What each policy actually addresses
Regence Surgery 12, effective September 1, 2026, is a general reconstructive policy. Functional impairment may matter, and without impairment the cause can still fit reconstructive benefits, depending on the contract and exclusions. Noridian LCD L35163 includes Utah and has a revision effective October 16, 2025, but supplies no laser-specific approval pathway. Select Health’s public portal did not establish a specific resurfacing rule in this research.
Medicare’s undated consumer page describes general accidental-injury and functional exceptions to its usual cosmetic exclusion. Society summaries and FDA clearance do not authorize payment. Ask the practice and insurer which code, indication and prior authorization apply, whether all billers participate and what remains your responsibility. Policy text is not a coverage guarantee. A missing public policy in this research is not evidence of denial.
Coverage is diagnosis- and contract-specific
That exception does not establish routine acne-scar coverage or approval for another laser mode. Each payer below has its own language. Noridian’s Utah-relevant LCD is general cosmetic/reconstructive policy, and the Select Health research gap cannot be interpreted as a denial.
“Which exact policy, diagnosis, device mode and authorization apply to my treatment and every biller?”
Paying
Can I finance a small laser skin resurfacing bill?
A $500 laser skin resurfacing balance at 32.99% APR would cost $49.48 monthly and $593.78 total in a chosen 12-month standard-amortization scenario using CareCredit’s posted new-account APR checked October 18, 2026.
Illustrative borrowing, with totals to the cent
Compare the full repayment obligation
The small-balance examples use a posted $500 principal with chosen 12- and 24-month payoff terms at the 32.99% new-account purchase APR visible in CareCredit’s FAQ, dated May 30, 2024 and checked October 18, 2026. They are amortization illustrations, not an actual card billing schedule. The longer term lowers the illustrated monthly payment while increasing total repayment; it does not make treatment more affordable by itself.
The $1,500 examples use 17.90% over 24 months and 18.90% over 36 months, rates and terms described in CareCredit’s FAQ. Its actual promotional billing uses posted payment factors and upward whole-dollar rounding, so our standard loan formula is not a substitute. Totals use the unrounded calculated payment, with the final payment adjusted for cents. Fees, down payments and approval are not modeled.
CFPB explains that deferred interest can reach back to the purchase date if the promotional balance is not paid in full by its deadline. Minimum payments may leave a balance and the payoff deadline can differ from the ordinary due date. Ask for the APR, every fee, required payment, total repayment and promotional payoff date in writing. Compare saving or other credit without treating an offered product as a recommendation.
The principal traces to a retained posted service, but the payoff term is chosen for illustration, not an installment offer. Standard loan math differs from actual card billing. CFPB says deferred-interest balances may accrue interest back to purchase if not paid in full by the promotional deadline.
“What are my actual APR, fees, total repayment and payoff deadline, including any deferred-interest condition?”

Why do patient-reported laser skin resurfacing prices differ from posted fees?
One Atherton discussion on r/SFbitcheswithtaste, read October 18, 2026, contains patient-reported Fraxel laser skin resurfacing quotes of $600 for face and $800 for face and neck, with bill year and exact model unstated.

How to use a personal price
One Atherton discussion reports a $600 Fraxel-labelled face-only consultation quote and an $800 face-and-neck alternative. These are alternatives, not amounts to add together. The same thread contains a Danville commenter’s $1,000 session report with four rounds described. The exact models and bill years are unstated. None is an independently verified invoice or a current advertised practice price.
The three observations come from one discussion source read in October 2026; they are not three independent website checks or a representative patient sample. A person may recall a quote, an amount paid after a promotion or a package including other care. Ask what the story included, then obtain your own written quote. Do not use an anecdote to fill missing inclusions on a practice’s price page.
These are two alternative scope quotes in one discussion, not verified current practice offers. The Danville session report in the same thread is another labelled observation. Patient stories help identify missing quote questions; they never enter our practice spreads or quartiles.

What should I ask before paying for laser skin resurfacing?
ASPS’s consultation checklist, checked October 18, 2026, says to ask who performs laser skin resurfacing, whether they are specifically trained and what recovery and complications to expect.
Bring these questions to the consultation
Ask the practice to record the device model, mode, area, goal, planned visits and reassessment point on the same page as the amount. Have it identify every biller and mark numbing, sedation, preparation, aftercare products and scheduled follow-up as included, extra or unnecessary. Ask how long the quote is valid and what deposit, rescheduling and cancellation rules apply. A verbal all-in answer is hard to compare later.
ASPS asks who will perform resurfacing and whether that person is specifically trained; ASLMS guidance also addresses written aftercare and arranged follow-up. Ask who evaluates your skin, performs each step and answers concerns after hours. A credential printed on a price page is a description, not a ranking or a statement of state authorization. Confirm the treating person rather than assuming the practice owner performs every visit.
Compare your written laser quotes
ASLMS’s 2012 guidance, reviewed in 2020, also addresses written aftercare, arranged follow-up and appropriate sedation safeguards. Those are practice-planning sources, not a substitute for current state authorization rules. Use the worksheet to make the financial answers as concrete as the treatment plan.

How we researched laser resurfacing cost
We used the corrected October 18, 2026 research: 433 retained practice-price observations, including the city top-up once. Advertisements are not a representative price survey. We separate exact device labels, areas, session units, promotions and fee bases.
Starting points, not typical spending
Nearest-rank quartiles use one lowest eligible figure per practice domain within one exact scope and device label. The four-practice Fractional CO2 group and six-practice unspecified-delivery CO2 fallback remain separate. No patient report, market description or weak own-fee attribution enters either statistic.
Source boundaries
The ASPS benchmark retains its broad 2023 fee category; it does not estimate a laser-only bill. Patient prices retain uncertainty and source context. We never infer a coverage decision, state authorization rule, fee inclusion or promised result from a page that does not establish it.
Loans and packages
Package arithmetic uses named posted inputs, with calculations labelled as scenarios. Loan totals use standard amortization before rounding, and final-payment adjustments reconcile cents. These are not lender offers, actual revolving-card schedules, approval predictions or affordability advice.
Patient and media limits
Patient questions shaped the quote, series, recovery-budget and follow-up chapters. Discussion sources are not population denominators. Selected videos retain personal or practice-published context; only uploaded playable assets appear. The research’s sampled media review does not establish continuous full-speed viewing or rights clearance.
